The lily plains

Sorry for the quality again. I want a scanner but I’m broke.

Anyways here we have one of the biomes on the planet. This freshwater biome is a large mass of plants and debris that are home to many critters. There are lots of flowers for pollinators. A notable one is the Crikato. (The bug looking guy in the top left) They pollinate flowers but will supplement their diet with blood meals. This includes croakers so the crikatoes are considered pests. Most animals in the lily plains are lightly built so to not fall into the water beneath the plants. There is a smaller subspecies of croakers that make their home on the shores and lily plains of the southern lakes. They make little floating houses without a door to let the warmth out of their homes. The lily plains are also home to seabirds in the breeding season. There is a festival that takes place when the seabirds come since this means a good source of food that comes in the form of larvae and eggs. I’ll do another post about the festival in detail since it tied with biomes in the poll.
