I was thinking abt aus and stuff (bc my mutuals @devilsrecreation and @spinnysocks have really good ones) abt TLG, especially surrounding the crocs, so I was thinking..
What if Kiburi and Makuu met when Makuu was still considered a villain/evil? They were childhood friends, moved to the Pridelands together, and acted like assholes to everyone as a duo. After Makuu became leader, he had Kiburi as like a right-hand man, and committed evil shenanigans tg. But after a while, Makuu started maturing and becoming better, while Kiburi didn't. Causing tension, and after the whole dry season and assassination incident, complete separation. Which then turned to enemy/rivalry when Kiburi joined Scar and the Outlanders, and out of hurt and anger, started targeting/attacking Makuu and his float. Neither of them admitted it for the love of God, but they seriously missed the other, trying to mask it up by telling themselves and others that they hated the other. I'm thinking that during the Battle for the Pridelands, Makuu and Kiburi while fighting each other aggressively, yelled all sorts of stuff at each other, as they found out through all the arguing the other's perspective and just how betrayed, sad, hurt, and angry they made the other. After cutting out the fighting, they made up, and Kiburi joined the Pridelander's team (much to his exasperation about it), kind of like how Janja joined Jasiri (even if it was before the battle started). Afterwards they'd go back to being in the same float and extremely close friends as they were before (🏳️🌈?), just much better at communication now. (And Kiburi is a somewhat better person)
