Three Bags Full Knitting Studio, Northbrook, IL
It is a testimony to the utter cuteness of the children’s knits on display at this local yarn shop that I took several pictures of them although I currently have no little people to knit for. Tiny dresses, cardigans, dresses and blankets made me wish I did, and my sister agreed. As you can see, knitted toys and clothing, along with all the appropriate yarns and buttons for kids were all found in one corner of Three Bags Full, a large yarn shop in one of the northern suburbs of Chicago.
There were many yarns appropriate for adult clothing as well as plenty of examples of what could be made from the patterns and yarns for sale as you can see in the other photo. And if you were wondering about that book, the idea is that you eat and knit at different times.
One of the women working there helped me to find a lovely match for a swatch of fabric I had brought with me which I will blog later, so I can attest to their patience and their knowledge of what yarn will work for what pattern.
You can find more about the shop here, from the many yarns they offer to the extensive calendar of classes they hold, from beginner to specific skill building like short rows: http://www.threebagsfullknittingstudio.com/
