Wait I just realized I never posted pics of the mouse here!! It’s Freeform crochet, about 20 inches tall! This was the first big project I finished in my MFA and I’m soooo obsessed with it still.

This weekend, I have been working on this freeform portrait of our oscar fish, Grumpus. Its my first real attempt at a full freehand, freeform piece and its turning out really big

btw i had wanted to try freeform basically since i started crocheting and i kept putting it off (even though it's one of the easiest forms of crochet out there tbh) until i saw this tutorial on pinterest that explains it in such a clear and concise way that i was motivated to start almost immediately (you do need to know the basics of single stitch/increase/decrease but that's basically it)

I am so proud of this. I made a goddamn skirt and freeform top!! I never thought id ever be able to do it and I DID IT.
