The colors aren’t quite right in this picture (the outer round on that top one is hot pink, but it looks red/orange here). But anyway, I finally found a pattern for my mood blanket from 2017. Each hexagon represents one week. The wide variation in colors from round to round show the wildly varying experiences of my day to day life in that transformative year. It may end up ugly, I don’t know. But it’s so worth it. Remember my crochet mood blanket I made ages ago? I originally joined the granny squares on this blanket with a blanket stitch but I’ve got bored of repairing it so now I’m doublecrocheting over all the seams in this rusty colour. It kind of feels like I’m upcycling one of my own works! So glad I still had lots of this yarn left. Since I stopped making my squares a couple months back, I decided to use the squares I got done to make this giant pillow. I think it's safe so say that I am very happy with the outcome.

I just got back from my week vacation.

I have decided to finish up what I have for my mood blanket, and then I am quitting it. I just have too much going on to keep working on such a big project, and it has gotten to the point where I dread working on it. 

I love crocheting and the fact that this blanket is causing me to not want to do it is just a sign to stop so the hobby isn't ruined for me. 

I will have the finished project of my blanket up soon, and then hopefully I will be getting back to my old routine of crocheting and posting update pictures.
