Spectacled Caiman

Found in freshwater habitats of Central and South America

They rarely leave the water unless there is a drought, in which case they burrow in the mud

They can grow up to 6.5-8ft

Their name comes from the bony ridge that they have in front of their eyes that appears to join them together like a pair of spectacles
