The Crocotta is a dog-like creature found in India and Ethiopia and as of late it has even been seen in Texas. The Crocotta is described as a large, mule sized, dog-like creature with cloven hooves, a horse-like mane, and leopard-like spots all over its fur. The Crocotta is said to be able to mimic human speech even calling people by name to lure them over to it. Experts believe that the Crocotta is actually a hyena and the ability to mimic human speech could be the hyena’s ability to produce aa human-like laugh.

CW: I don't understand why Crocottas have such scary fangs, evolutionarily speaking. Not as if souls are particularly tough fare.
