Summary: Crocodile, Mihawk, Buggy, Shanks— each of them is a man haunted by someone they thought that they left behind them. Mihawk is tormented by dreams of a home and family he never talks about, and Shanks shares a few of his own secrets in solidarity. Crocodile and Buggy discover in the newspaper that someone they might never have seen again desperately needs their help. Cross Guild was meant to build their future, but the past has a way of dragging people back. And that has a way of making things… messy.

Headcanons about if Crocodile got with Shanks after Dragon's asshole shit he did.

Croc and Shanks?????

First off,

There was no chance for Shanks he is eye-level with Croc's tits

I made that part and fell asleep directly after, and proceeded to forget it in my drafts but CONTINUING

Shanks is 7~ years younger than Croc, they saw eachother a Few times when Shanks was littler but Croc wasn't really a presence and didn't really care about some snot-nosed brat. But then Shanks, 14 and in Prime Awkward Puberty Emotions, met Crocodile, 21 and just past his awkward not-like-other-girls phase and into realizing he's not like other girls because he's not a girl, meet and Shanks loses every crumb of charisma he has. Croc still doesn't really care tho because Ew Teenage Boy, but Shanks is doing his best.

Then Croc dissapears to get married and Shanks lements about The One That Got Away like Buggy isn't reminding him every time that he had less than 0 chance, but then Roger dies and Shanks stops thinking about much of anything in the past when he can help it.

Then Shanks is 26 and Luffy won't stop following him and ruining his chances with Makino who runs the only bar and grill he's still allowed in in a 10km radius. Then Shanks is 27 and Garp won't let him see Luffy anymore so Shanks packs his bags and starts looking for Crocodile to at worst ask him why he left his kid and at best ask him to overrule Garp because he doesn't trust Garp's family and he doesn't want Luffy closed off from the world while he's still only a child.

It takes another decade of casual travel to find him
