i’m just mildly curious what the total character (idk what to call a whole block of hangul that isn’t 文字) count is for ORV in its entirety, including whatever side stories you folks intend to tackle.

A very rough estimate is around 2,484,574 hangul blocks based on the statistics from the Korean ORV novel. We currently have no plans to do any side stories or the Side Story.

what is strawberry pasta?

I'M GLAD YOU ASKED

strawberry pasta is the ultimate childhood summer meal, except some of us continue eating it well into adulthood. it's quick, cheap and delicious! for 1 serving it's just:

75 gram flour noodles of your choice (I guess you could go wild with other types like rice noodles etc but i haven't tried),

250 gram strawberries (tbh 150-200 would be enough but i like more),

100 gram sour cream (12 or 18% and preferably thick, you can also use yogurt instead; if you use less strawberries, use less cream too obv)

1-2 tablespoons of sugar.

you boil noodles according to package instructions, mash 2/3 strawberries with sour cream with a fork or a blender if you're fancy, add a little sugar depending how sweet you like it. chop the remailing strawberries into halves or quarters depending on their size. putnoodles on plate, mashed strawberries on noodles, chopped strawberries on top of everything, then mix, et voilà! yout perfect strawberry pasta is done. personally I like it when the noodles are still hot while strawberry mix is cold, but some prefer it all cooled down.

my sour cream was not thick so my mix cameout a bit more liquid but it tasted just as good as always!

But the fic I want to write the most right now probably is an AU based on the Link Click live action's finale where ...

(putting this under a cut since spoilers ^^")

An AU where the antagonist succeeds in his goal of changing the past - saving his sister but at the cost of ~20 other lives.

And also while Cheng Xiaoshi was still in the past, and the sister in question learned what her brother had done for her.

The future that CXS knew is erased. The timeline changed in a way where CXS would have had no reason to go back so there is no longer a connecting point for him to return to. The things he'd experienced over half a year, and his fire-forged friendship with Lu Guang are now just a memory.

And as another fun consequence of the changing the past, it is no longer possible to dive back to any point before the moment the timeline changed (or maybe just that day/Guidu city - haven't decided yet)

I kind of wanted to write a story where it's CXS who's now stuck in the past (though not by choice) and has to renavigate his friendship with Lu Guang when he has a bunch of memories of their relationship that can't simply be re-experienced.

And because of how the powers work in the Link Click Live Action, I also want to do a potential role reversal with the duo where it's Lu Guang who dives, while Cheng Xiaoshi guides him.

Meanwhile the AU version of the antagonist who broke the timeline is not having a good time either. Sure he has his sister, but she's devastated by the events that led to this and their relationship is strained as a result (even though she knows this version of her brother didn't actually do anything). He's wants to help her and is also very interested in time travel as a way to help people make peace with the past.

So he and Cheng Xiaoshi would get entangled in this alternate timeline as well, and CXS also has to navigate this version of the man who played the false friend and manipulated him for six months :D (Also toying with the idea of them becoming diving partners since Lu Guang is less enthusiastic about it)

I generally don't have a coherent plot for this AU, just a bunch of scattered scenes and ideas. But it's fun to think about

thanks for keeping the count up. I’ve been using the cheevos in a certain game to keep track myself but i was worried i might fall off that game. But tumblr is forever. It’s impossible to leave this place. I have big plans for T-200 day. Here’s hoping they come true.

question not in the FAQ: are you going to be adding foot notes or end notes?

There are footnotes throughout every volume for various purposes including definitions, lore/historical backgrounds and information of famous figures, notes about jokes or sections that cannot be translated but we want readers to know about ("I can be your Sponsorja", haha), and we have also included the original Authors' notes from SingNSong. The footnotes will also have links to the sources (usually wikipedia) wherever applicable for credit, and so people can look into it more themselves if they are curious for more information beyond what we put since we don't want the notes to get too long.

These are all explained in the editor's notes at the very beginning of the volume :3
