How did you find out the person was trying to catfish you?
Well, first I have to clarify/state that we only talked for a few weeks total. We texted for like 3 weeks in December/Jan. Then she disappeared and we texted for another week in May.
Also, the nature of us talking wasn’t romantic... no feelings involved or anything like that. We were really just shooting the shit.
There was no “smoking gun” for me to know she was a catfish, there was just a bunch of little shit that didnt add up:
She had no active social media accounts that showed her face. The Tumblr she contacted me from was all reblogs, no original content. She sent me pics privately but never posted them anywhere else. (FYI: I reverse image searched the pics, nothing came up)
She had a snapchat, but never posted stories. She only sent direct messages to me.
She claimed she was going on vacation to Hawaii, and I was like, “oh cool, take some pics and show me”, and she flipped out and said she wasn’t going to take any because “she doesn’t go on vacation to flaunt it on social media”
At that point, “I was like damn this might be a catfish”. So I asked her to send me a video of her face and she flipped out again.
That was the last straw so I pretty much called her out as a catfish. And as “proof” she sent me a video of the person she was pretending to be. But the person in the video never said anything. That video could have been from anywhere.
I was like “lol wow”
then I moved on with my life. Wasn’t bout to waste time going back and forth.

In each weight division of boxing there are multiple title belts, but only one person is the “undisputed” or “lineal” champion. You can only be considered the undisputed or lineal champ two ways:
1. Beating the previous undisputed champion2. If the undisputed champ retires or is unable to fight for some reason, the #1 ranked and #2 ranked guys in the division fight for the vacant title held by the previous lineal champ.
In most cases, “lineal” champ means you can trace the lineage of that belt back and it will connect you to the all of the greats who held it.
Theoretically, Wladimir Klitschko had the belt that Lennox Lewis beat Holyfield that beat Tyson that beat Michael Spinks, who beat Larry Holmes, who beat Muhammad Ali who beat Sonny Liston... and so on.
Sometimes this lineage is messed up due to a guy retiring, going to jail, getting injured or something. So he technically was never beaten for the title.
Lennox Lewis never lost his lineal championship. Mayweather never lost his lineal championship, Joe Calzaghe never lost his...
GGG is considered the baddest man in the middleweight division, but technically Canelo is the lineal champ because he beat Cotto, who beat Sergio Martinez, etc etc.
