Animal Crossing!!! What are the basic ways of getting money on the island? Maybe the island has very few fruit trees to make stuff hard, and all tools are really expensive, so getting money is hard. So as stated by The Book of Nook, seashells. But don't those run out? (I'm like, answering my own questions. What?!)
okay okay so I have literally thought about this maybe once. So I’m winging it basically (but what else is new?)
So for their very very basic needs, Nook provides that shit. That’s essentially what their “paychecks” are for. They never see a single bell of it, but it keeps a roof over their heads and enough food to survive in their stomachs.
If they want extra stuff? They gotta work for it. Selling seashells, the few fruit they can get their hands on, all those limited resources they fight over tooth and nail and sometimes it gets a little darker than you’d think because they need that money right now. Once they leave the safety of their little home, it’s like they don’t even know each other sometimes. They’re just mindless slaves existing.
Sometimes (like with Arin and Brian) they can make a little extra cash in the club or just playing on the streets with a tip hat in front of them. It’s not much, but it helps. They get paid for their club gigs and the people seem to like their music.
Holly and Suzy are really good about doing favors for people and, when they get gifts in return, they almost always sell it straight away for those sweet, sweet bells. They covet friendships because sometimes they’ll get gifts without having to do anything.
