Leaving London
I started a post last night (our last night in London) and subsequently got lost on a bus, not a a result or anything, and when I reread it today, I decided it was irrelevant, so I'm here starting from scratch. This is my first time really giving my bluetooth keyboard and tablet a go, not very into it. I'm hoping the keys soften up or something. I'm also sure in no time it will be as if I'v never even typed on a seamlessly easy, luxurious Apple product like my beloved Macbook Air. *Just deleted an entire paragraph and had to retype just from pressing backspace for like a second. In addition, photos and text will unfortunately have to be uploaded separately.* So...London. To sum it up; I saw several wonderful friends - including a couple very special ones from home - which totally revitalized me, ate plenty of fried chicken which as always did not disappoint, knocked on dozens of doors and distributed campaign leaflets, had many many laughs, enjoyed four days of unrelenting summer weather, and learned two invaluable lessons - get my own directions and that more weight on my back equals less happiness. To sum up even further; I am completely humbled by the value of friendships and family devotion that cannot be divided by oceans (both my own and the ever inspiring love of Tim by his friends and relatives). Also, the joy of chicken, and the physical weakness of my own body. Yes, despite my boasting and confidence, our bags are still way too heavy. Like, I'm going to puke/fall over/have a splitting headache too heavy. But that discussion is for another day. In the meantime, we have arrived much to our pleasure, in the country at Tim's mum's after spending a lovely afternoon in the garden of Tim's aunt in North London. Sad to see my other Henry boy Dom leave back to Manchester but happy to be sent off by Rosaleen. Yummy country dinner, missed Skype calls, late night garden talk, pheasant spotting, wrong motorway exits, wine, strawberries and amaretto biscuits, sad news and glad...it's been a full day. It's been a full few days, and we haven't even left England.
