Hunter and Hawk
Dean had lost nearly everything. Sam was gone. Cas had disappeared right before his eyes. He had been on a hunt when it happened. He immediately tried to call his archer. But Clint never replied. Hours after the Snap, Dean turned the Impala around and made to drive out to his husband's last location. When all he found were piles of ash and his arrows, he thought the worst.
From then on, Dean tried to see who he had left. He ends up staying at Bobby's and tried to get some sort of normalacy.
He still hunted whatever he thought was a case and looked for anything out of the ordinary.
Despite, not finding Clint, he didn't want to give up Hope.
That's when he heard about a string of murders. They're gruesome, violent, and committed by someone with a lot of skill.
Dean goes over every security camera. He combs over every possible angle and tried to study the hooded figure caught on camera.
They're calling him Ronin. As Dean studied him he can't help but think it's Clint.
The hunter takes a drive to the memorial for all those that had been snapped away. He spends hours going over the names.
Dean was there well until nightfall and he still couldn't find the name he was looking for.
That settled it. This Ronin had to be Clint and Dean was going to bring him home, even if it killed him.
That night he calls Bobby from a motel room. Even has he thought of ways to get to Japan. Surely there had to be some Avengers left.
" Did you know he was back ?"
