i mean it's not risqué or whatever but what do you like most about studying linguistics?

oh maaaan this is such a hard question. well for one i absoLUTELY HATE phonology (which i'm currently taking for graduation requirements). i'm more interested in the psychological and neurological aspects and speech cognition and that sorta stuff, so it's really interesting to be studying how linguistics interplays with neuroscience. it's rewarding to see people reading and saying things and realizing that all that shit you learned in intro linguistics really comes into play and you start to notice a lot more and you're more aware of your surroundings. Also syntax is pretty cool, but no one else agrees with me

ABSOLUTELY. i actually have one concretely planned already; a Jacob's Ladder on my left shoulder. i really love the concept of tattoos, though, and there are SO many things that mean enough to me that i would want them on my body. i kinda want a tiny screw tattooed somewhere on me, too...
