I tag: @breval, @of--roses--and--words, @flydye88, @tardis-mouse, @develish1, @annasassi, @lottieleigh, @mirthfulwoman, @violetta-kiss, and @mindibindi.
I was initially tagged by @accio-spaceman, who I have probably bumped into in WH Smiths without even knowing it… Anyway,
1. What’s your favourite Film and/or TV series?
it’s easier to describe my favourite genres than actually choose a single favourite. I love comedies, science fiction, murder mysteries (Morse, Broadchurch, Jonathan Creek, A Touch Of Frost, Unforgotten, to name but a few) and period drama like Jane Austen.
2. What’s your favourite book/s and/or author/s?
I tend to go through fads at certain times. My favourite authors have been Catherine Cookson, Iris Murdoch, P.D. James, Peter Pook, Jane Austen, Robert Rankin, Helen Fielding, Stephen Fry, Sue Townsend, Douglas Adams, and Professor Robert Winston.
3. Where is your Mum’s family from?
From Bow in London, so she could claim she was a proper Cockney.
4. Do you have any siblings? If yes, what’s the age difference and do you get on with them?
I have a brother and sister, both older by about 4 or 5 years. I get on great with my sister whereas my brother is rather withdrawn.
5. Is there a cultural stereotype that you feel you live up to?
Only in teasing moments, I’ll express something like “Gawd bless ya, gov’ner!” or burst into singing “I live in Trafalgar Square!” ; although like many Cockneys I do go ultra-polite when I’m blazing angry.
6. Are you good at reading people?
Not as well as I am at reading children. It’s interesting to make an educated guess and then find out the truth later on though.
7. What are some of you favourite charities?
NSPCC, Macmillan Nurses, St Luke’s Hospice, Cancer Research, Comic Relief, Age Concern
8. People say that the characters and relationships you most like are a reflection of yourself and your desires, however unconscious. Would you say this holds true for you?
Well, my favourite fictional couple are Ten/Donna and I’m told by friends who have met my hubby that what I write heavily reflects our relationship.
9. What’s the most romantic thing anyone’s ever done for/to you?
Erm…. Okay, I’m coming up with a blank on the romantic front. Give me a few days and I might be able to dig up something. I even tried asking hubby what’s the most romantic thing he’s ever done, and he stated that he’s never done anything romantic; so maybe it isn’t just me.
10. What’s the best thing a friend has ever done for you?
Got me tickets to see a certain Scottish actor and/or ginger idol on the London stage, springs to mind. I have been truly blessed in that respect.
11. What are your favourite lyrics?
Probably something by Sir Tim Rice, now that I think about it; from Jesus Christ Superstar or Evita.
I was also tagged by the fantastically talented @crossoverland.
Thank you, love!
1. What’s your favourite season?
Probably autumn because it isn’t too hot anymore and there’s an excited feel in the air.
2. First thing you ate this morning?
Lemon and raisin Scotch pancakes. And I was brought them in bed by my husband. Result!!
3. Do you play any instruments?
Yes, a few, very basically. Things like descant recorder, chord organ, flute, chanter (from when I learned the bag pipes), could get a tune out of a trumpet at one time, and I have electric organs I’d love to be able to play better (i.e. with both hands at the same time). I can play music by ear so I like to test myself every now and then
4. How do you spend your free time?
Typing fanfiction, answering messages, reading fiction via the Kindle app, and planning our next DIY project... when I’m not watching telly.
5. Best day of your life?
I know I’ll get into trouble from my family for this, but it was the day of the opening night of Tatennant in Much Ado About Nothing. I met up with MissDoctorDonna, had afternoon tea, and basically laughed and laughed together.
6. Why did you name your blog that?
You mean the “Bedside Browsings” bit rather than my URL? Because at the time I was constantly in bed, flipping through the pages of @dreamerbee’s blog and my LiveJournal one.
7. Do you believe in love at first sight?
No, not at all. I do believe in lust at first sight though
8. Are you good at hiding your feelings?
Apparently no. I’m told my emotions are written all over my face. Good job you can’t see me most of the time then…
9. Did you have a dream last night?
Not one that I remember. A state I am fine with, because remembering my dreams tends to indicate that I am about to fall ill, am ill, or suffering from night terrors again.
10. Are you happier single or in a relationship?
I’ve been in a relationship for the past 39 years; and as they say, better the evil you know than the evil you don’t.

When Beast died in Beauty and the Beast. When Mufasa died and Simba was begging for him to wake up in Lion King. And so many movies I’ve cried over.
As for books, I’ve read so many and I’ve cried over so many I don’t remember which were the ones I cried while reading. I definitely remember crying as I read Harry Potter though. I still sometimes tear up as I read it again.
