You know, when I was posting a bunch of my DA drawings over here I skipped quite a few because it was like... 150 something plus posts.

But, since I'm back at work and can't find too much motivation to draw, might as well show some more stuff. This is one I really should have posted when I was setting everything up.

My take on Rosalina.

Mother of the Galaxies, Watcher of the Stars.

Queen Rosalina of the Cosmos.

Now, her design is not final yet, as I did want to change the dress a bit and maybe give her pointed ears or something... but for now this was the first (and so far only) time I have drawn Rosalina.

But yeah, I have a bit of a different interpretation of Rosalina. I see her as she is presented in the Mario Galaxy games, regal, motherly, an immortal goddess basically. I don’t really see her as ‘one of the princesses’ or hanging out with Peach and Daisy whenever.

No, she left that world behind; she has a role in the stars now, being the mother of the Luams and all.

(Spoilers for the Mario Galaxy movie under this. Only look if you've seen it.)

(I also don't make her Peach's sister or anything... It's fine for the movies, but even when I do take on the movie universe in my writing I make Rosalina more like a guardian to Peach who gifted her star power... or something, Idk, still working it out...)

(I just love her game backstory, it's so much more impactful.)

Happy day of green!

Funny story, last year I forgot about St. Patrick's Day. So I made a quick doodle comic on DeviantArt about Luigi forgetting the day as well, and then panicking when he realized. I thought it was funny, but it wasn't really polished.

Well, not this year, I was ready.

Oh, yeah, since I have this Tumblr account now, this is how the watermark is going to be. Figured it would be easier than making two versions with different watermarks.

Good source for Japanese names/surnames?

I've been working on a little personal project of my own, and the characters are, naturally, Japanese. But the thing is, this time, I want to create characters with names + family names that actually relate to each other and make sense, and not just because they sound nice or anything. I know a site called Issendai, where I look for Japanese first names, and I already know plenty of Japanese first names - enough, anyway. But it is always the family names that get me. I know someone that I would ask for best combinations //ilu Yumaki <33// (I also know people that would know that I haven't asked) but I don't want to bother them so much. So I'm looking for good sources/sites for Japanese surnames (including their meanings and all, obviously) - and names too since there's no harm in knowing some more. If there is a site/source that helps with name combinations (though I have not found any as of now), even better! Or if you're someone who know Japanese names (or the language) enough and want to help me personally, you're more than welcome to (just beware of me constantly bugging you about names). Suggestions, anyone?
