Butterfly and Blackwork

Lovely design by Lesley Teare that was such a delight to stitch. I also found it to be a nice introduction to Blackwork.

So...I did a thing...actually I did many a thing, but this is one of those things that I did. It looks wrinkly now, but soon it shall be finished, framed and gifted to a Chef friend of mine. But I love doing this, it’s keeping my hands active while they still heal from a meat slicer accident about a year ago. I don’t like counting stitches, I draw on fabric like a boss!!

My $5.00 haul from the flea market today, I’ve never tried stretcher bars, so I’m happy to pay $3. For the set, if I don’t like them, no big deal. I’m happy I found America the Beautiful by Sue Hillis Designs!
