It's actually really nice to take a step back and look at all 30 watercolor paintings I did during the pleinaipril art challenge and realize how much art that actually was in just one month!

Analog Night!

Popcorn popped on the stove, FM radio, cuddling on the couch with my cat and sketching in my sketchbook.

I swear, I didnt know "going analog" was a trend. But it actually makes me kind of happy to know I'm not the only one who decided to consciously put down the screens and take a break.

For me I just realized that I'm plugged in to the internet and glued to a piece of hardware for work all week and then I come home and plug in to my TV, phone, and/or laptop. The final straw was when I had to do a software update for my smart TV and then opt out of some new privacy agreement as long as my arm, I had a genuine "back in my day moment missing the days when I didn't need a software agreement before I could even plug in my DVD and watch a movie. Then I sat back and

realized how long it's been since I had an evening where I didn't need to find my entertainment and renew a subscription to access it.

So I turned off my smart TV, put my phone on charge in the other room and I tuned in to FM radio, made popcorn on the stave instead of the microware, and settled in to a lovely, analog night.

Yay!!! I did it!!! 30 paintings in one month. A completed painting every day! 😮‍💨✨

I am so glad that I did this art challenge again this year. It was tough, but I feel like I improved so much in skill and confidence.

I'm going to keep up the momentum! But I'll be glad to be able to explore subjects outside of nature and work more on my drawing skills as well as painting.
