I saw your post about Hood and I definitely agree that some people write her far too harsh! I personally write a Hood who sometimes acts tough or blunt, but it's mostly because she's scared (either from past or current experiences). I think she's a girl who has struggled with a lot, and therefore thinks she has to be distant and strong to be safe, even amongst friends. I also think she carries a lot of guilt, but also desperately wants to know that she did the right thing. She's a lovely character and easily my favorite out of all the orphans besides Brother and Sister, I hope others grow to love her as well :')
I think that the distant personality suits her! But people tend to follow a very similar trend in treating her vs the other orphans in quite the familiar pattern (six). They tend to brush past a lot of her actions and nuance, and treat her like the "worst" of the three, and I believe a lot of that tends to stem from misogyny (again, much like six). She's my favorite as well, and the mis-characterization HURTSSS. She's allowed to be distant (for both her own safety AND others), and shouldn't be villianized for that, especially considering the world that they're in
