Okay I know I never post about streamer drama but....

Tell me why when fuslie was used as the other woman and admits that she let herself get manipulated and hold onto a hope of a relationship based on attachment issues, and she admits her faults, doesn't blame people who don't like her, and (again) was USED - she gets called every terrible term for a woman under the sun.

But when sykkuno is outted as a serial cheater who primarily seeks out smaller creators who are barely legal (talking 18-19 and he's 35), everyone is talking as if he didn’t do anything wrong and the victim (Hemomal) is actually a clout chaser and everything was consensual.

I hate the double standard. Mal LITERALLY said she watched and looked up to him while she was in highschool. I don’t care if she flirted with him back, a grown man like that should know better. You see a clear pattern here and you can't comprehend that someone is manipulative??? Do you know what manipulative and predator mean.

Both of these definitions apply to him pretty clearly.

As for Horus x Emps shipart, (also a TL;DR if you wanna ignore the yap) i enjoy it, but i am super picky when it comes to depicting it, i like it super subtle.

It's that mix of resentment, admiration, unrequitted affection and unspoken tension.

The nature of who they are allows for a certain lack of healthy boundaries, not only because they're beyond such a thing, but because of their standing as king and warlord, father and son, scientist and monster, saturn and moon, blacksmith and weapon, etc ..

A master and his means to an end, forged specificaly to serve him, what kind of attachement does that entail? Espacialy when the tool is made to be perfect, ruthless, fearless, yet entierly subservient to him.

Couple that with a destructive love appropriate for a god and a demigod, and you have something that leaves you shifting in your seat uncomfortably, like a train wreck, so horrible but you cant help but keep watching.

What i have settled on is making art that could 100% be passed off as the typical horus and emps angst, and rightfuly so! But could just as well pass off as ship art if you squint, turn it upside down, read between the lines, and are sick in the head (like me)

Maybe i'd like it if i pushed the envelope, but we'll see. Sorry for the pretentious rant, i think abt them... a lot...too much....

its really funny to me the difference between the older archons and the younger ones, because we have:

raiden ei who even without her gnosis kept a perpetual near-uncrossable storm raging around her nation and executed a harbinger seemingly effortlessly. also she was downright scary cold as the shogun puppet, still the archon with the coldest aura imo.

nahida used the power of the gnosis and dreams to help free herself, save her nation, purify the literal tree of memory, erase her creator and help bring down a self-made god and harbinger using another gnosis. also fended off another harbinger with words and a transaction and a threat.

focalors and furina spent 500 years carrying out a plan through sheer strength of will and a gnosis alone, which shattered a divine throne, threatened the heavens and returned their power to a sovereign, leading to focalors dying for her people and finally freeing furina from her curse.

mavuika lost everyone she knew and held dear, returned from death, beat the strongest (?) harbinger in a fight even not at full power herself, rescued us from the abyss, cracked the bloody sky itself open, and fended off an abyssal invasion with her skill, her people and her gnosis, even at the possible cost of her own life.

meanwhile zhongli and venti are just chilling in their respective regions drinking wine and shit... the eldest archons basically gave up their gnoses to the fatui willingly, and theyve been all but bystanders since the start of the story! they purified a dragon each, and zhongli saved xiao, but other than that they just retired sjdjsjxk its kinda hilarious
