Korean filmmakers / producers PARKing CHAce (Park Chan-wook and Park Chan-kyong) were commissioned by the Seoul local govt. to make Bitter, Sweet, Seoul (2014). Over 98 days from 20 Aug-25 Nov 2013, 2821 people from around the world submitted 11852 videos that features some aspect of Seoul life. 154 videos were selected and edited to form the final movie.

Though it is still in its development stages and a release date has not yet been announced, RedadAlertas — which translates to RaidAlerts — will be an app whose purpose is to warn any of the 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the US of ICE raids within a certain radius of their location. RedadAlertas is an open source software that will crowdsource and then verify information about raids and then send those “realtime, verified alerts” as SMS messages to anyone who has given the site their phone number. According to its website, RedadAlertas will start as a web app before being developed into a mobile app. It was founded by developer and activist Ceslo Mireles, who himself spent over 25 years undocumented in the United States, and describes the app as “a tool to protect against law enforcement.”
