Mistigram: only ever seen in the "best of Mistigris" floppy diskette digest distributed at a #LivingCloset variety show July 23, 1999 at the Church of Pointless Hysteria, here is an example of the impulsive "real-world art" practice that wound up exploding from Mistigris into #Hallucigenia in '98, #asemicwriting and imaginary semigraphics character sets inscribed by Mist weirdos with #sidewalkchalk on cobblestones at the Word on the Street festival at the central branch of the Vancouver Public Library, probably circa 1997. The fancy boot is Crowkeeper's, and the photo was very likely taken by Etana.
Something for crowkeeper headcanons on Instagram lololol…
•They like nighttime dates more than afternoon dates !!
•not really ship related but Crowberry’s voice sounds elegant at times and squawky at others, while Timekeeper’s voice is much like Mother Gothels
•Timekeeper steals things for her, no questions asked.
•Crowberry dislikes the thought of time travel as she enjoys sticking to one world at a time. Staying in different timelines, in different dimensions would be rather confusing, would it not?
•Crowberry constantly gets mesmerized by Timekeepers goggles, scissors, and belt
•They actually didn’t get along at first !! They met when Crowberry tried to take whatever jewelry TK had on her desk and they stopped her.
•Black Raisin is their daughter !! She doesn’t know them very well as they’re both always gone though.
•They’re both very protective.
•Timekeeper is better as physical affection while Crowberry is better at gifts and verbal affection.
•Timekeeper is absolutely a cat person and Crowberry is not
You can't tell it to look at our social media posts today, but during our first run in the '90s we at Mistigris were most distinguished from our competition by providing an equal platform for #literary expression (#lit) along with visual and musical creations. We moved on from #poetry and fiction but we never forgot our roots, and so today we present to you the inaugural #publication of #MisprintManuscripts, a #smallpress dedicated to putting into print writings from and about the computer art underground with a (non-exclusive) focus on works originating from within our Mistigris community.
#ScarecrowPoetics is a compilation of thirteen of Crowkeeper's Elizabethan Fabergé egg poems, originally shared via Gecko Temple BBS and Mist Classic artpacks. They were collected as a virtual #chapbook hosted at the etext.org archives from 1999 through 2009 before going virtually out of print with the closure of those archives, but even after we put them back online in 2015, we thought that it was a shame they never enjoyed the physical chapbook setting the poetry collection warranted. Well, six months shy of their 25th anniversary, now someone has done something about that!

Спасибо за эту красоту!! Thank you for the beauty!!
The Fairy Realm (No, It’s Not Out Yet, Only Being Tested): Here’s What We’ve Found
Okay, one of us volunteered to test the bare bones version of this and this is what we found after playing with it for three and a half game days.
First the basics: Load time: Nine minutes. Save time: About 90 seconds.
'Unleash your creativity on this island full of flowers and sparkly butterflies'
The flowers and sparkly butterflies is an understatement - this is a very pretty island, without going over the top - and not a single instance of lag in all the time we played it.
You can't catch the butterflies though, and one problem we noticed was flowers spawning such as daisies with the option to look at or pick, only for our guest victim, Captain Feronia Verial (she plays the victim so well!) to get the Can't Get There From Here dance of Sims 3 every time.
(as opposed to the 'Can't Get There From Here' dance by REM, sort of what Debbie Gibson might have done if she'd got Michael Stipe and Bill Berry to do her choreography - although to be honest it may as well have been chemotherepy for all the good she ever was at dancing ...)
Number of lots: Crowkeeper said there was going to be forty two, the game file says forty three, but here's how we found the spread in game:
Number of Residential Lots: 25
Number of Community Lots: 16
Number of Ports: 1
Number of Dive Lots: 3.
It's only a 512 by 512 sized world, ie. small - and an island at that.
By comparison with a couple of other worlds of the same size:
Nilxis' Suvadiva:
Number of Residential Lots: 14; Number of Community Lots: 18
Rflong7/13's Isola Island:
Number of lots in total: 7
Yes, both have done smaller worlds with more lots - but what all the above have in common with the Fairy Realm is being islands, and second lots of trees, always a performance pusher. The Fairy Realm, particularly in the south, has lots of trees.
The vast majority of the Fairy Realm's lots are in the northern half of the island , which is bare and flat in the main apart from little pink plumbob obelisks (Jessamine Diane would have approved!) - about thirty six or thirty seven lot in an area 512 by less than 256. It's too much, and if Crowkeeper doesn't cut them down in the final cut, we'd recommend doing it yourselves.
The northern half of Fairy Realm has far too many tiny lots packed together, and which certainly cannot be justified on this size of map.
To illustrate one problem from having so many little lots packed close together, the single spawning raccoon managed to knock down three bins in one afternoon of chaos leaving a rather smelly area which at least chased away the tourists! There's six community lots alone in the northern hilly bit which would be better as one large multi-purpose lot.
Routing issues? Potentially just the two.
When Feronia went to the Enchanted Forest lot (the one which appears with a Elixir consignment store sign on the map for some reason), she walked to the far end of the lot and then turned round to head back to the centre before stopping.
Also, when heading up to take a look at the weather stone which had plonked itself in the northern hill part, she hugged the south sea wall rather than going by the direct route.
Spawners appeared to be fine with rocks, snakes, bugs, etc. from the second day onwards. Gatherers will make a mint here if our first three days here are anything to go by.
Oh yeah, that tower in the background - sort of a Sauron meets the Skyrim Soul Cairn crystals. We love it, and it would be a great place to hide a multiple function rabbit hole.
Oh, and the colour changes of the sky (with those unique spiral clouds which echo the around Mermaidia) going against the vivid colours of the land are ... well ... haunting at times.
Really, a completed version of this world will knock your socks off - and it really doesn't need that much to do it anyway.
The Fairy Realm - so looking forward to revisiting this!
