Show them why we are the most feared we control the black dollar...
July 3rd of every year is National Crown Day! 👩🏿🦱👑
Today is a day to celebrate the beauty, resilience, and cultural significance of Black hairstyles — and marks the 5th anniversary of California’s “Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair” (CROWN) Act. The law aims to end race-based hair discrimination in schools and workplaces.
As of May 2024, at least 25 states have passed the CROWN Act or similar legislation. Just another example of how YOUR vote up and down the ballot can make a difference in people’s daily lives.
P.S.: Special shoutout to some of our Co-Chairs rocking their Crowns! 😍
Darryl George, a 17 year old junior, has served more than two weeks of in-school suspension. The school claims it is because of the length of his hair and not the style, which violates school dress code.
Discrimination based on natural hairstyles violates the CROWN Act, which went into effect in Texas on September 1st.

Written to The Bidens on this day, 18 of February, 2024:
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Biden,
Today, through a USDA loan program I am approaching the day I shall buy my first home at 45+ years of age. 155k. In a rural, depressed area of the Midwest, 2.5 hours from a large major city. And part of that was because of the Save Program and the PSLF program. And in 5 years my Master's in Education will be forgiven.
Because Mrs Biden works in higher education, as do I, I thought you might appreciate my insight.
I see great promise in the next 4-8 years if we can reignite young people's inner fire and catalyze them toward making critical life choices for education and career across higher ed to military service to trade school.
Mrs. Biden I encourage you to take up this banner as a professor and educator - and please pass this on to your marketing teams and personal advisors.
Please know the DHS itself is aware of algorithmic tunneling and these heavily paid efforts since mid-pandemic, but no single federal agency has address the nation directly and warned them outright the messages they read online aren't from people in the USA but also highly funded to be advertised at a great frequency to specific demographics.
We must disrupt the algorithmic narrative then challenge the negativity by simply finding JOY and helping people rediscover our sense of childlike wonder and fun. Naive yes? Yet, joy is the reason we live through this suffering.
Tips on how to Grab Gen X through Gen Y:
1. Make 3 playful animated educational "School House Rock" shorts on how to vote, how presidents are backed by a team (cabinet/chiefs of staff/personal team, vp,) and one about Presidential "powers." Play on kids channels and Tiktoks & YT
2. Visit Sesame Street - talk about scary memes with Elmo and when to get your parents when online media scares you. (Re Larry David violent incident with Elmo.)
3. Show the Bidens doing active, fun, loving things with animals, family, and other wholesome things like holding babies, buying Scouts ice cream, sing-along by the campfire with the military choir, driving really cool cars, and definitely do some kind of (highly controlled) NPS manages 4th of July parade honoring Veterans with people in historical costumes, horses, and lots of bands from every state.
Why? I've been marketing a long time to people for nonprofits and never has there been a time in my generation so bereft of joy and fun.
For anyone who still thinks systemic oppression isn't a thing
