Crown lore? 👀 Give and request Crown lore! What’s the Bishops relationship with their respective crowns?

Is there other crowns that just haven’t been found yet? What’s shapes and colors?

What’s going on with Haro and Chemachs crowns?

Are they connected to the mystic sellers in anyway? (The whole eye motif, the mystic sellers kinda look like big anthro crowns if you squint)

Sorry this took me some time to get to— I was busy!

So for my Crowns lore…

1. The crowns are seen as a source of power, status and godlyhood of each domain. We got the main 5: Chaos, Famine, Death, Pestilence and War and Knowledge. In my and @battiebones ‘s AU, we’ve implemented “fan crowns” like Weather, the original Crown of Knowledge (before Shamura claimed it), the Goddess of the River, and a few more that I can’t remember at this moment. (Etc. tho.)

They sit on the hosts head, the bearers get their perks. Whoever dies by another crown bearer, that crown gets absorbed into the ‘winner’s crown, and they have ownership of that domain/thing (and cults).

Something the bearers do NOT notice, however, is that the crowns are not only godly things, they are also parasites. They will try to continuously seep into their skull/brain and take them over unless they are strong willed and able to hold control over the crown. (As if they were mere tools). It’s evident in my AU where the Bishops realize they were letting their crowns be a crutch for them after Narinder impaired them while they live their daily lives in the Lambs’ cult and begin to heal and work through their own trauma’s with each other. It’s also evident with Shamura’s crown literally having roots into Shamura’s brain— Which is how I came to this idea for my AU. Shamura is farther gone than the rest of the Bishops, therefore they are the one getting the most of the parasite treatment. (Fortunately for them, we threw I monkey wrench into the formula and gave the Bishops —Minus Leshy— vessels as well. That’s a different story tho.)

So after the crowns have been taken from three of the Bishops, they realize how bad their crowns were for them in the long run, despite having the perks.

2. We have not designed the other crowns yet but I did make one for a shitten child that gets her own crown. I want to design the other dead crown bearers so badddd!

3. Haro’s crown is definitely dead. He just can’t get rid of it for reasons unknown bc I haven’t been able to get to that yet. As for Chemach, hers is just as insane as her probably.

4. I never thought about it that way surprisingly! The Mystic Seller is vague in itself so that’s not a bad idea at all! Idk if I’ll get to explore that with this AU, but maybe I can with my secondary AU instead of my main one.

5. One of my favorite head cannons for the Red Crown specifically is that it’s a greedy lil bitch but also respects the Lamb and just wants to be the only Crown and a powerful one at that.

(Main AU specific: It’s like a sentient parasite that is having fun and being silly until it ultimately/inevitably devours the Lamb and takes their form bc Lamb is cuter than cat.— This is not fully mapped out yet and needs work but it’s what I would like to do.)

4) Each Crown has a distinct personality and will be labelled by a certain colour: Famine, Death, Pestilence, Chaos, War.

5) Crowns are based on my headcannons for the Crowns features in the game Cult of the Lamb. Also their personalities are based on my own AUs that I write. If you want to see more of them, just look through my fanfic called ‘Silence of the Lamb’ (no it isn’t an add. I just… You don’t have to do it. But I’ll love you even more if you do…❤️)
