Dion, The Conqueror

394 years before the Conquest, Dion was born a commoner in the Forgotten Lands. His mother fell ill when he was just 7 years old, and after months of traveling, Dion knelt before King Nuelo, begging him to be merciful and save his poor mother. The boy would give anything for the life of the one who brought him into the world, but the king just laughed in his face, with no desire to save a mere commoner.

Dion was then thrown into the palace dungeons for bothering the king, or according to him "breathing in his presence". The boy's fate was sealed, that same night he prayed to all the gods he knew, until Roxanna, the king's daughter with her kind heart freed him. Dion left promising he would return, and he kept his promise.

His mother died two days after they arrived in Maera's capital.

Years later, after having managed to enter the royal guard, Dion began his rebellion. Bringing commoners and knights to his side, the 27-year-old Dion stormed into the throne room, which he had been humiliated by Nuelo, and ruthlessly slit the king's throat, hearing Roxanna's screams beside him.

And then, a year later, Dion took Roxanna to wife, and together they had two children.

Emperor Giubert Di Leonas. Was known as The Young Emperor after his father's sudden death when he was only 9 years of age. Now at the age of 47, that title has long been forgotten.

With a serious and cold look, along with his red hair, Nikholas Aricia Di Leonas, the little sun of the Empire, eldest son and heir to the throne, born to the emperor and the first and late empress, Odetta. Now at the age of 20.

Along the emperor's hand, Garriet Di Leonas, the second prince of the empire and twin with the first Princess Gwyindolin Di Leonas, the jewel of the emperor's eyes for her resemblance to himself. Both in their 7 years.

Like a graceful flower in the lap of the empress, Beatrice Di Leonas is the second princess and the youngest in the family, a beautiful copy of her mother, from her blue eyes to her golden hair. This year the empire's flower became 2 years of age.

At last, The Empress Jade Di Leonas, The second empress of the Empire after the death of Empress Odetta. Born a commoner, Jade served the late Empress as a simple maid when her beauty caught the emperor's eye. She was only 16 when Giubert made her a concubine, and two years later, after Odetta has passed, he made her the Empress.
