For nonbinary afab with cycle related issues - don't use hormonal transition if you hope to turn out androgynous. It doesn't work that way. If you want to stop your period, it sounds like you need a form of birth control. Because there's no way to get the hormonal cycle to stop unless you have a hysterectomy, in which case it would be necessary to permanently stay on hormones. If you have gender dysphoria for both binary genders, it's not going to help to appear male, either.
(don’t remember which anon we’re talking about here, there’ve been a lot of them) endometrial ablation would also be possible for cycle-related dysphoria, without adding additional hormones or causing long-term issues by removing any. It just destroys the lining that gets shed. some (many) nonbinary people do find success with low dose testosterone for androgynous transition, depending on what their goals of transition are, however that dose may not be enough on it’s own to stop the cycle. again, we’re not here to provide direct medical advice for any specific person, just to review scientifically accurate information and chat about less-known effects of hormone treatment so people can make informed decisions. mod mayhem
