Donna and Hazel were up half the night painting these bad boys and at the meeting the following day

Alcina's purses her lips because she thinks they're childish and not something a grown young woman should be sporting

Salvatore is both impressed at the artistry and put out because nobody ever paints his nails

Angie angrily reminds him that they don't bother anymore because he kept forgetting to let the laquer set first and always ended up ruining it

Karl personally thinks personal adornment is for people with too much free time (unlike SOME people who have Very Important Rebellions Work To Do)

however, he's also a little shit and has to defend his girlfriend who doesn't know it yet comrade so naturally he starts a fight with Alcina about it just to piss her off ("What, so Twigs can't choose to put stupid birds on her nails? Not very feminist of you" and has to duck a five-clawed swipe)

Miranda arrives during the fray and has no idea 1) what the fight's about 2) who started it and 3) will finish it

Collective murmurs of apology

Discovers it's over nail varnish

The promise of a relaxing, lazy Sunday - one might imagine a warm mug of coffee, cuddles in bed, a well-loved book… but probably not the outrageous scene that was unfolding.

Buzzing and ear-splitting cackles filled the room as Alcina pinched the bridge of her nose, regretting volunteering to host this month's meeting in the castle.

Thankfully Mother Miranda had yet to arrive to see the embarrassing chaos unfolding.

Crystal jangled loudly and she snapped, "Girls, watch where you're going, don't you dare break my chandelier with that oaf's hammer!"

Her daughters' apologies were half-hearted as they zoomed overhead, Angie still shrieking with laughter atop the hammer that took all three girls to lift.

The noise was worth it to see her brother come back from the washroom, red-faced, fuming, cursing up a crude storm, and Alcina hid her smirk with a drag from her cigarette - until Heisenberg used his power to summon his hammer back, right through the chandelier.

Question! What made you want to explore Urias as much as you did/have in Microcosm? Was it just his total lack of backstory (as with everyone in RE8, Capcom I am coming 4 u) or did something else compel you? :)

I didn't really notice him at first, but after digging through wikis, watching lore videos and playing the game for myself, he suddenly became really interesting, and raised so many questions that CAPCOM didn't feel like developing.

He was the village leader a long time ago, but when? Was he always so tall, or did the Cadou mutate him to that height in the same way it affected Lady Dimitrescu? If that was the case, why do his clothes fit him so well? Did he agree with Miranda's actions and aid her in oppressing the village, or did he disagree and end up the way he is now as punishment?

The more questions I had for this guy, the more of a personality he took on in my head until he was a pretty fleshed-out character: someone who deeply loved his family and valued his people's ancient traditions. Like everyone else in the village, he was indoctrinated from birth to revere Miranda, and it was only later in life when he truly started to question her methods, but by then it was far too late. He tried to be a cycle-breaker in some ways by refusing to perpetuate the same physical abuse he endured from his own father by being a deliberately kind and gentle parent to his own daughters, but hierarchically he was bound by Miranda's iron rule to carry out her orders to sometimes mislead his people and facilitate her experimentation.

In Urias' final hours as a cognisant man, he knew he'd been wrong in turning a blind eye to her and her Lords' crimes in order to keep up the status quo and keep his own family out of Miranda's grasp - only to realise he'd been used and discarded himself--hence why he commented about feeling his turning into a lycan was a form of karmic retribution. He was a really, really fun character to write, because in my mind he went from this miniboss with a blank slate of a backstory to this interesting, morally-conflicted character by the end.

Betsy Harlow

Betsy will do her absolute best to pretend that she understands everything that you're saying if she's confused because she's afraid of looking stupid. When she's alone, she'll go research for clarification. (She internalized a lot of her mother's personal insecurities, despite Brynne's best efforts).

She's extremely avoidant when it comes to how she presents envy. Big feelings upset her and she tries to pretend that they aren't there. Maybe that's why she bursts into tears over nothing LOL.

Elisabeth is subjected to the same amount of universe-hopping that all of my related OCs are, bless 'em. I don't know if I have a preference for where she hangs out.

2. Jane Harlow-Morgan

In her very politest, sweetest way, she prefers to ask for clarification. She inherited her father's preference for straightforward conversation (until it comes to social warfare).

Envy is beneath her and that's what she tells herself.

Again, Jane's part of the same universe-hopping as Betsy and I have similar feelings about what universe she lives in.

Now y'all are getting non-fandom OCs because I never talk about my book on here and I need to remind myself to work on it.

3. Ados

Confusion is a problem for later.

He plays the long game if he can't immediately have whatever it is that he wants. It'll start with snide comments and spiteful actions and, before you know it, it's spiraled into full-scale apocalyptic divine warfare.

Nah, Ados stays in his little microcosm.

4. Gemma Weaver

She tries to ask for clarification, but she (usually) doesn't get answers that way, so she's stuck having to research on her own. After meeting Ados, she becomes more comfortable with experimentation.

She silently stews and adds it to the big pile of lifelong resentment that her severe depression forces her to build.

Again, she stays in her lil universe.

🌹 How is your oc with flirting? Either receiving or the source?

Being the source: It's accidental more often than not. Slips out. Whoops. Avert thine eyes and laugh it off as a joke. Pay no attention to the sudden and intense blush across the face.

Receiving: She has one of two moods. Either "oh, god, help, I'm being made fun of" or else "gets super stiff and breathless and promptly begins imagining that scene from Pride and Prejudice of Mr. Darcy walking across the windswept moor. Except it's the person flirting with her, dressed in that billowy, open shirt and long coat, regardless of gender.

💮 What are your oc’s best skills?

"Skills," as if Brynne has ever learned anything useful for surviving out in the wild. Fun fact, I don't think the Posse IC knows much about her backstory because she's pretty insistent on leaving it behind her, but it's super obvious that she was raised more Townie and Ladylike than the average outlaw. Her handwriting is nice and she can usually carry a conversation with a well-to-do mark. Additionally, she's a decent rider and has some musical skill from growing up/working in her grandfather's luthiery.
