So I'd love to show y'all somethin I've been working on for the past couple days! I got some motivation to work on Candypop and LJ a bit, flesh em out, and think about their species some more.

Introducing a lil reference to their anatomy and an infodump on the living toys species!

Living Toys are a creation made by [REDACTED] with the help of [REDACTED] to bring them to life. When being brought to life the being will fill them with a black substance that acts like blood. How exactly it flows and behaves depends on the toy, such as how Giggle's is moreso like oil or grease to keep their gears loose and functioning while Candypop's is far more like blood since it's more humanoid.

When awoken they already have a purpose in mind. Giggle's knew their task was to befriend and care for the first child/children they see, for example. Their bodies are usually built for whatever purpose they were given as well, like how Giggles is built with the ability of reaching far with their limbs and spring torso. Candypop was made to cause chaos and panic so their form is built more bulky for their massive hammer. Although their music box and glow prevents them from being all too stealthy they adapted to instead go for a more... direct form of chaos. Basically they said forget stealth I'm just gonna start breaking stuff and being creepy and then suddenly vanish.

In general, all living toys contain black blood, an inability to die by normal means, and a purpose they're either built for or adapt to fulfill. If a living toy is unable to complete their purpose they'll go to any lengths to do so, even if it risks their well being or other's.

Jeff Harrison Canons

Jeff loves bacon cheeseburgers with a side of onion rings. He can eat five servings before indigestion kicks in.

Although Smile Dog was assigned to keep him from breaking things, and he's afraid of it, he does find it cool and likes it when it does act like a dog more than... whatever it is.

When he first lost his eye it took a while for him to realize. The day he did he was struggling to focus on things and went to EJ for an eye exam, Jack pointed out that it could be his lack of an eye messing with depth perception which led to a moment of Jeff staring silently before shouting "WAIT I'M MISSING AN EYE?!"

Leo notices him tracing the edge of his socket now and then. He suggests getting a false eye like he has but Jeff rejects the offer. He finds the gaping hole in his face awesome.

Sally is kind of scared of Jeff but calls him her uncle. "He fat and grumpy, like an uncle!" according to Sally. Nobody lets him live it down. Slenderman let him babysit her a couple times and expected to come back to him dead, but instead saw her napping on the couch beside him and a movie on TV. He uses it for blackmail against him.

When it comes to kids, he doesn't hate them. If he finds kids out alone at night he'll either make sure they get home safe or give them a good scare to make them run home. He'd never admit he cares about them but he does. He sees kids in the same situation he was in all too often.

Giggles

They can be an absolute sweetheart or the most terrifying thing you'd ever seen.

Giggles has no bones, only gears and stuffing. Because of this it can bend into any shape, slip through most spaces, and hide in, under, or behind anything.

It can't really eat or drink. Anything that goes in will just rot.

If Giggles does eat something or get dirty xey can be tossed in the spin cycle. They actually enjoy it, its like a roller coaster to them.

Giggles can't be killed through dismemberment, burning, destroying its head, none of that. The only way to truly kill it is figuring out how to turn off its core.

They're not really alive. Its equivalent to an interactive animatronic toy, like a Furby.

Giggles knows who created it but was made to never say it. They can't go against it even if xey tried. They miss their creator and want to make them proud. (Yes I gave the clown daddy issues.)

Disclaimer: LJ is still being written and fully figured out. All of this is subject to change.

Warnings for brief mentions of kidnapping and child neglect

Laughing Jack, or LJ, is an odd entity with no real known species. All that it knows about itself is that only children and pets are allowed to see it, it's basically a living toy, and it has an accordion that it loves to bits.

They were created as a prototype guardian/entertainer to children in bad situations and their first assigned child was Isaac, although we all know how that went.

There have been times when LJ would essentially kidnap the kid, out of fear of a repeat with Isaac, and try to care for them but it's only understanding of childcare is tell jokes, play lots, and eat candy. It was made to entertain so there's little to no understanding of how humans work and what they need to live. They quickly learned the hard way, after many incidents of LJ waking up and finding the kids gone.

Unlike the source material, after Isaac, it doesn't go after children. It was created to protect and care for them after all so purposefully harming them is impossible for it.

They actually feel guilty about Isaac and want to make up for it's mistakes, but that can end up leading to LJ unintentionally scaring children it tries to befriend or even harming them. They know how to cheer up kids, but they aren't a full on caretaker. It even has a bit of a childish mindset, whining and being a bit self centered or even throwing tantrums at times.

Of course Sally and LJ are best friends, the latter being her designated babysitter. Sally is even known to call Giggles her big brother/sister and that means the absolute world to them.

In the mansion:

Laughing Jack is either called LJ or Giggles, a nickname first given by Sally, to avoid confusion with Eyeless Jack. There's actually a bit of one sided rivalry between them due to LJ believing that Jack copied them. This is, of course, not true but I dare you to try reasoning with a giant toy clown with the temperament of an iPad toddler.

Generally the folks of the mansion don't mind LJ, a good few actually enjoying it's company and the little shows it'll put on, but then there's those (coughcoughJeffcough) who thinks it's too happy or soft and just likes to pick on it.

This is for absolutely no reason at all but can giggles cook, if yes what's their specialty?

And can xe swim?

since giggles was made to be a child caretaker they can cook simple meals, specifically ones children are most known to like, such as chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, sandwiches, that stuff.

it cant cook a 5 star michellain meal but it can make a nice simple lunch.

giggles could probably swim for a little bit but since it is a doll full of gears and stuffing... have you ever dropped a doll in the pool?

xey will float for a bit but once the water soaks in they'll start to sink.

Silliest lil clown in the mansion <3 Or, well, not little but you get what I'm saying.

Despite not having organs, it has the biggest heart in the mansion.

Their hair is painted on.

Giggles will do anything and spare all of their time to help folk smile, their current focus is on Jeff and getting him to laugh at something other than other people's pain.

They got their name from Jeff who meant it as an insult but Sally thought it was cute. He's still fuming over it.

Giggles actually has a bit of a silly grudge against EJ for, stealing it's name. It died down after adopting the nickname Giggles.

Giggle's eyes are almost pitch black after going monochrome and whenever they open/get emotional (often) they leak a black substance.

The moment it learned they were considered a big sibling to Sally they sobbed. It was so happy.

They're a living toy powered by gear mechanisms and magic. If their gears are gunked up or broken somehow their magic can't flow and they basically turn off.

This has happened multiple times before but Slenderman has someone who can fix them easily.

Nobody knows who it is.

And because I know some of y'all...

One of it's favorite things to do is to give big hugs. Their arms can extend and wrap around you as their torso spring bounces back and forth.

Since Giggle's doesn't have a full mouth their form of kisses are bonks. It's hard because of it's ruffles unless they use their extendo spring neck.

They love it if you fidget with their outfit or hands.

OKAY so basing off the votes so far, i do not know why its saying theres 3 days left i did not put it for that long, umm.... wow yall really want silly clown creature as a marketable plushie!

now if we REALLY want this to happen im gonna need yalls help because with the votes and notes, unfortunately, we likely cant get enough sales for a makeship plushie right now BUT yall can help me out by suggesting alternatives to makeship to produce plushies. that or, lesser possible option, you can try spreading the word around this silly laughing jack community enough that we can get 300+ enough willing buyers to say theyll produce $60 to buy the silly clowns.

im actually really happy because, if yall have seen my recent posts, i could really use the sales right now! it genuinely makes me so happy to know that you all love my silly little creation and i hope i can get the same reactions to the rest once theyre out for tumblr to see!

but yeah, reblog or reply in the notes what alternative producers i can go to for plushie production and selling. if anything, i could try listing it on my buymeacoffee's store page.

now if we cant get the plushies made i wont give up on giving all of you lovely people SOMETHING. i'll look into other merch to produce and try selling but that'll take me some time, but your patience and excitement for whats to come is what motivates me! so thank you for finding my silly little pierot and adoring it to bits becausd every like, every reblog, wvery comment, it just makes me want to keep on doing what i love to do.

Giggles never has to sleep and is constantly overflowing with energy! Because of this they can often be found running around the mansion like they have the zoomies, cause it does. Sometimes the more creature residents will join in and take up a whole hall for running back and forth. Nobody but Slender dares to stop them.

Speaking of Slender, he found Giggles sad and alone in the middle of his woods. Lucky for xem, Slender was looking for it for a while now so it was easily welcomed into the mansion.

It's favorite past time activity in the mansion is simply making others happy. Most of it's time is spent with Sally, being her designated caretaker, or wandering around the mansion to find something to do.
