“don’t be daft, shiro.” she’s trying to be more patient. some people have new years’ resolutions; satomi has summer resolutions. as in, behaviours she’s going to attempt to fix for the duration of the holidays only. her efforts are wasted on seishiro, however; he has the unique ability to ruin her plans without trying ( in more ways than one ). is it a skill he perfects just to spite her? she wouldn’t put it past him. they’re both snakes, after all. affection mixes with bitterness when she looks at him, unconcerned and unhindered by anything. it’s unfair, and sometimes she wishes she could hate him for it. 

but after years of friendship, satomi would like to think she knows seishiro well enough to be able to tell when he’s paying attention and when his mind’s a mile away, wrapped up in things satomi isn’t sure she wants to hear about. a window into seishiro’s mind? no thank you. “if you can repeat even one quarter of what i just said, i will—do something drastic. dye my hair flaming orange. no, wait—” god forbid seishiro actually take her up on that. orange is not and never will be her color.

“never mind.” she doesn’t want to give him any ideas. “i was asking how you felt about possibly breaking curfew.” stupid, reckless, and a gryffindor act in spirit, but satomi feels stifled here in their lodgings. she wants to experience the nightlife, if only briefly, before they’re forced to move on. “there’s a club near the hotel i want to visit—and i can’t ask ichi to come with me. i’m fairly sure he goes to sleep at nine like other senior citizens.” the corners of her mouth lift at the little jab at ichigo, though she means it affectionately. “so, are you in?”

❝ I wouldn’t go as far as calling us rivals, no.❞ Joshua rubs the back of his head as he thinks back on the last practice game he had Hufflepuff played against the Slytherin team. Calling what had happened that day an ass kicking would be cutting it short. The badgers had been quite aloof that day, especially Joshua, he had missed being hit by a bludger by a second.

❝ I mean, would I like a rematch? Totally. Do I feel like testing out who’s the best chaser when i’m on one of my good days? For sure. But i would never antagonize with the guy over such a trivial thing. ❞

☺ : What is your muse’s smile like? Do they smile often?

It depends on who Félix is with. He’s not one to always have a smile, but he does when it’s necessary, whether or not it’s real. His smiles used to only be for his mother and Winston, but now they come both easier more often as his group of friends expands, each smile more genuine than the last. Winston still gets the best ones.

“are you looking for him? i’m sorry we’re not close at all, just classmates. he’s currently not here yet. it’s half an hour early anyways, i would assume like most he would still be enjoying his break. i did hear that he has a girlfriend. maybe he’s with her? if not, if you know what she looks like maybe find her and ask where he is.”

if there’s one thing malcolm has learned over the years at hogwarts, it’s that people ( especially slytherins ) rarely ask questions to which they don’t already know the answer to. not all rhetorical questions have ill intent, but malcolm doesn’t think anyone can look at shiro sumeragi and think him benign. calling him dangerous would be giving him more credit that he deserves, but he’s on the list of people malcolm refuses to let his guard down around. shiro is unsavory; he leaves a bad taste in malcolm’s mouth.

( you hate him for different reasons, the rational part of his brain says. you hate him because he replaced— 

it’s a thought he doesn’t have time to entertain ).  

he might be a bit of a dumbass, but he’s not stupid enough to admit to whatever shiro is insinuating here. crossing his arms over his chest, malcolm leans against the cold stone wall and frowns. “i don’t know what you mean,” he says, shrugging. “it was an accident; everyone else agreed it wasn’t on purpose.” malcolm’s a bit surprised himself that all the bystanders were inclined to side with him; he didn’t really make a point to hide his intent, but biased eyes see what they want to, he supposes. better for him—he can almost convince himself he’s not petty enough to willfully jinx a rival in full view of his classmates.  

“i didn’t mean to jinx you specifically.” but nothing about his stance is apologetic. in fact, the stubborn set of his jaw could be seen as a challenge, if shiro cared to. “the spell just went haywire. dueling’s not my strong suit.” a good lie is always contains a grain of truth. he shrugs and tucks his wand back into his robes. “no hard feelings, right?” uncrossing his arms, he holds a hand out for shiro to shake so they can ‘reconcile.’ whether he wants to or not is a different story.

💟: what are three traits that my muse looks for in a partner? ( accepting! )

       three traits that he looks for in a partner are patience, gentleness, and intelligence. jace is drawn to personality more than looks, seeing as he’s always admired girls who hold up to their own, have wits, spend more time studying than they do in parties (he’s had his fair share of toxic relationships and would never repeat the same mistakes in the past, he’s fully learned his lesson). seeing as he is someone who can be rambunctious, he wants someone to understand that he is a friendly person who sometimes goes out of his way for people but wouldn’t risk his relationship if it harms it. he likes gentleness, someone who’s has a nurturing nature and takes care of animals. a soul that’s empathetic and kind would catch his interest immediately.

💟: what are three traits that my muse looks for in a partner?

Zach would love his partner to be honest, caring and be passionate. As Zach is very trusting and aims to be honest himself, it would be important for him to be able to fully trust his partner, and to believe that his partner really cares about him and those around them. As he is super passionate about Quidditch, it would be harder for him to connect to someone who doesn’t have any goals in life. Obviously they don’t have to have the same dream of becoming a Quidditch league player, but he would respect someone who is goal orientated.
