@crtlpunk gets some mother-henning from Vik
"I swear to shit, V..." Viktor grumbles, a guttural sound -- like the crunch of tires on gravel -- rising from this throat. He means to come across as frustrated, disapproving of the merc's latest stunt in Night City. But Vik's no good at masking his concern, especially when it comes to kids like V. Jesus, he might as well be an open book with the way his frown pulls down the corners of his mouth, the doc's shoulders tightening near up to his ears as he hunches over the operating chair where V sits.
"...if you're not going to let me kit you up with some proper implants, then maybe stop taking jobs that'll get you killed, huh?" Sharp as the words are, Vik's surgi-tool is a delicate touch on V's damaged skin. The pressure of its articulating calipers seems a distant, disconnected sensation (largely thanks to the local anesthetic the physician pumped into his patient's arm before he got to work).
Glancing up with a scowl, Vik catches the flattened slug of a bullet as its extracted from V's bicep, using his free hand to drop it into the metal pan next to his work station. He focuses on drawing the edges of the wound together, needle extension of his surgi-tool stitching three neat sutures in place. "-- a little subdermal armor wouldn't go amiss, y'know."
