Aislinn had not expected to attend the dance, having twisted her ankle only days before when she’d mistaken a hole in the ground for a log. Yet, she saw much possibility in such an event. She could meet more in the faerie alliance. She could make valuable allies. Perhaps, though seemingly superficial, she might even find herself taking someone’s hand on the dance floor. However, it seemed that the night did not go as many of the attendees had planned. The first sign that things had gone wrong was the sudden disappearance of the snakes she’d seen slithering across the floor, followed quickly by the pain dissipating entirely from her angle. Her vision seemed to improve drastically and the iron smell that so often accompanied nausea had become more... enticing.
Vision went quickly red and her legs moved of their own accord at an abnormal speed towards the strong scent of iron. Before the former fae even knew what she was doing, she’d thrown herself into the air and onto the warm body of another.
