HERE THEY SAT, hovering over a table full of downtown chinese food. It must have been nearing midnight, the darkness outside created a more mirror like image of the pair from the inside of the restaurant.
She barely knew him, their first actual interaction a mere three months ago, but there wassomething…..something so wonderful about him.
Shelly coughed out a chuckle and leaned over slightly, chopsticks in hand, grabbing hold of the last but of noodles scattered on her plate; biting back the smile on her face. ‘ —-good thing we aren’t exactly the calorie counting type huh, i suppose we got lost somewhere around a thousand or so ! ’ / ( @attritio )
The playful rejection tugged at the corners of his mouth - wider still, teeth exposed. Eric couldn’t help the sudden coyness, nodding in agreement and sportive defeat. Enjoying and admiring her wit. He’d been smiling the entire evening, feeling silly - then ignoring the notion as it came. She seemed to have that effect on him, and making her smile back was nothing short of magnificent.
Eric poked at the remains of food on his plate before setting his set of chopsticks on their miniature stand. The mischief across his features forewarning her. “But maybe with a side of rice you’ll think over the calorie counting.” he shrugged, as if feigning innocence.
From a conventional photo shoot, meeting her in the process, to dining with her now. It all fell into place naturally. An undeniable spark, as they say. @crusadc
