She watched his expression carefully. There was nothing that unnerved Johanna more than someone with an unreadable personality. And she was surprised to see that at the mention of said opera, Ben seemed to light up subtly. Her eyes widened at his obviously extensive knowledge - more than even the backers talked to her about.
â I-I ââ thank you,â she managed, blinking. She coughed out her shock when he mentioned the actual purpose of the shoot, but shook her head in dismissal.Â
âAlright, I can do that. Infatuation?â she added, suddenly clinging onto Skywalkerâs arm and blinking up at him with a slightly âawedâ expression. She let go again and laughed, a little more at ease now. It wasnât too difficult after all, she supposed. Just a little more up close and less overplayed than she was used to.Â
âJohanna, please,â she added with a little flap of her hands towards Ben. âWell, I come from a little village outside of Yorkshire,â her eyes rolled upwards, to the left, off to the distance as she was explaining. âMy Mother has a chocolate shop that I grew up above. It was an idyllic thing, really.â Her smile grew and she knew what he was trying to do.  âWhy donât you tell me something about you?â she asked, attempting a tiny bit of backtalk, although still somehow entirely genuine.
Anakinâs eyebrows shot up. She looked at Ben incredulously, doing a sideways thumbs up towards Johanna who turned and laughed at him as he did so. She liked him, she decided.Â
âA photographer is a little like a director, isnât he?â she added, eyes round and stupidly innocent. Although there was a distinct feel about them which spoke of the same thing that Anakin was made of. But hers were a chocolate brown that matched her childhood, ones that were warm and would remind one of rich autumnal walks in the woods.Â
âTell me and Mr Skywalker some stories?â
It was clear from their shared look of surprise that neither Ben nor Anakin had expected Johanna to launch herself so fully into her new role, though Ben did not hesitate too long before continuing, bright flashes of light accompanying each shot. Most likely heâd be unable to use these particular shots ---- the ad called for a more serious tone, after all ---- but they wouldnât hurt his portfolio. Heâd always preferred a more candid style than posed photographs, though both were necessary in shoots such as these. Thankfully, Anakin had the knack of making even the most intense session appear natural, his fluid grace and easy beauty an odd juxtaposition to the clumsy, almost shy heart that lay beneath. Johanna complimented him well, her dark hair a wonderful contrast to sandy blond.
The backtalk earned a raised eyebrow, Benâs attention never leaving the viewfinder.
âPretend Iâm not here, Miss Sharma --- Johanna,â he replied shortly, pausing only to adjust the lighting. âKeep your eyes on Anakin, please, not the camera.â
Anakin perked up, earlier surprise washing away as he fell easily into step. âI can tell you some stories.â
Ben did look up then, brow creased and eyes sharp. âAnakin----â
âLike the time we did a shoot at the Grand Canyon and Ben climbed some very questionable ledges just to get the perfect shot.â Anakin snorted, even as he hooked an arm around Johannaâs waist and drew her against his chest, leaving enough time for the click of the camera before melting into another suggestive pose. âOr the shoot out in the snow for the Christmas ad; he wanted to get a shot of me tossing a snowball at the camera -- so, naturally, I aimed for his face each and every time, and he couldnât do a thing about it until afterwards. Man, that was a good one.âÂ
âYes, thank you, Anakin,â Ben ground out, making a mental note never to work with the brat again. His gaze fell on Johanna, lips pressed in thought. âJohanna, if you could place your hands somewhere a little less awkward, please.â
