Temptations and Lies

Chapter 2 throughout 

Throughout the years of the Mara’s life she had become strong so strong that at the age of 3 she decided to begin her plan to slowly turn her father into a rambling crazy man. Harvey would always hear his love’s voice and she would say things like, Harvey love I’m waiting for you so we can live in shining palace together. As this went on Mara got stronger and stronger feeding off her father’s wants and broken heart. At the age of 16 she returned to her father’s homeland where the people decide that this young woman would become their queen and so began the reign of lady Mara Darth. Throughout Mara’s first few months of power she had decided to end the hunt for Witches and any magical creatures with this choice made it threw the utopia into the first  civil war between those of good and those of evil. With each death Mara grew and grew in power she had become so powerful that she decide to “Bless” a young couple with their first child but what the young family didn’t know was that Mara had just created the next chapter of everything evil Dolus and his female counterpart  Apate. Dolus named after the Greek spirit of trickery and Apate the goddess of deception. Once the young couple found out they decided to leave the children with queen Mara. And with the last few years of queen Mara’s life she named the kids prince and princess of the utopia.

Temptations and Lies

Chapter 1 The Falling 

Looking back throughout the history of this once great place you can tell how the steady fall  began from the first founders son  Lord Harvey Darth. You see the Darth family was once a proud and rich family until  Harvey disgraced the name when he fell in love with a woman who was below his family's standard  when his father and mother heard about this they disowned him and cast him out of the family and out of the utopia. But what Harvey’s family didn’t know was that the woman he had fallen in love with was a witch and that witch decided to cast a curse upon the utopia and on Harvey’s parents. But what she didn’t know was that the curse would ruin her life as well as Harvey’s, On the Eve of the birth of their first child there were some problems. Due to the curse that had been put on Harvey’s family the child was not of purity  but yet the child was of impurity so they named the child Mara the demon of temptation, During the birth Mara had taken the witch’s powers and in turn killed her. Which left Harvey not only with a broken heart but a child of evil, What Harvey didn’t know was that his child would not kill just not yet but that Mara would indeed make Harvey loose not only his mind but everything he loved. And then in return would take the one place Harvey once called home and turn it into what it is today.

Temptations and Lies

Look out the looking glass of time and look into what this once peaceful place has turned to. A sickening utopia full of temptations and lies, Only those of true evil live here tell me why have you come? Because I once knew the people in this place not all of them are evil. And how do you know that? Because the people who are not yet evil but not yet good live the arena of the utopia where the temptations and lies  do not dare go. Why hasn’t the temptation and lie gone there? Because my dear friend there is a power so great that it could kill a normal person. Yes but temptation and lie they are not normal humans, Yes but they are not creatures they have come from the people’s minds their wants, the things they’ve taken and the hell they have made some of these people have created their own living hell. But back to the power, The power that stays in said area is the power of purity for you must first be of purity to stop the impurity that’s why I’m here to stop not only the innocent from living the hell these others have created, But I am here to try and save those of impurity for the impurity of purity is of course purity at its finest.  

For utopia’s are only as strong as the people who live in them if one person falls to temptations and lies then they all fall to temptations and lies. . .

Is the transmogrifian torture curse real?

Having to read that made up word and hearing it in Mr. Magical Me’s voice was a form of torture, and probably a curse.

That said, it is.

It’s just--not called that. It’s never been called that. Either he didn’t know what it was called or he did know what it was called and knew it’d be a bad look if it got out he knew what it was.

The rest of us who work in the field call it the Teratius Curse.

It does, more or less, what he claims it does; its general use is to keep victims alive while twisting--I wouldn’t call it “transmogrifying” them, to be honest.

Transmogrifying is a trying-to-sound-smarter-than-one-is way of describing the various aspects of what those of us on the academic side of things refer to as “Unspeakable Transfiguration”.

At any rate, the Teratius Curse falls more in line with what Lockhart describes as the victim keeps their generalised original shape, it’s just re-formed, bent, twisted, tied, or otherwise reshaped into something usually meant to be both physically painful and psychologically scarring--do keep in mind that the victim is alive, conscious, and aware of what’s happening and will only die if the curse is ended while they’re in a...shape...that would be generally fatal. Or, you could put them back together again and leave them in immense physical pain and in a state of mind that could be accurately described as scorched earth.

Ministry doesn’t consider it an Unforgivable, however. Apparently, we’re only allowed three of those and they’ve chosen three of the more benign ones, all things considered.

I use it for landscaping, personally, the Teratius Curse that is; if you’re careful with it, it causes no more damage to the shrubs and trees than traditional, non-magical landscaping methods, though it does give the garden an odd feeling to it, I’m told.

Not surprising, as it is a curse.

And, Gilderoy Lockhart being who and what he is, of course, had to go and make it sound like a whole lot of flowery nothing; I swear, that man would look at a spider that had been swatted with a newspaper and declare that it had been someone using “Transmogrifian Torture” on it.

The easiest way is to fire something lethal just past my head--or any other part of me.

That’ll wake you right up and nothing quite makes someone feel as alive as a near brush with Death.

Oh, and the rush that comes after either using or being hit with certain high level curses has that effect as well.

Anything else falls under the umbrella of if you’re capable of doing it, you’re already doing it regularly.
