Channeling @taylorlanglais - was trying to be sneaky since there were a few people around and my gym is anal about taking pictures for some reason¿¿? Trained chest today for #crushmasseffect but this is the only picture I have since my chest is no where near ripped/worthy of a picture 😅 - did some calves, abs, and a 100% incline fast walk to cap it off. Tomorrow is day 83 of Mass Effect and I can't believe it's already been this long! Shoulder day - patiently waiting for my delts to actually be more prominent - along with my biceps 🙃 I was in such a rush to get the gym today because my brother was finally coming with me again, and I was excited about it. But in the rush, I forgot the heart rate sensor that I need in order for my Polar watch to accurately track my workout (calories burned, highest heart rate, etc). I almost went back home to get it, because for a couple minutes I had a major anxiety attack about not tracking a workout. Luckily I calmed myself down, and got into my workout. Then, I couldn't stop checking my watch, because I knew the calories burned weren't correct and I knew it would say that I didn't reach my activity goals for the day, and that's the exact kind of thing that triggers my anxiety. I wasn't in control, I wasn't tracking, and I wanted to scream about it. However now that I am sitting here and thinking about it, I sound psycho - one day of not tracking my workout is not going to impact me at all. I haven't had this watch for long either, so I used to workout having no clue exactly how many calories I was burning. Why is it so important to me now? In reality, it isn't. And that's just another thing that I definitely need to remind myself of more often. I was feeling totally fine all morning, I let myself sleep in even though I had every intention of getting an early start today - sometimes when your alarm wakes you up and you feel totally exhausted still and you have the option to go back to sleep, you go back to sleep! But I got to the gym today and started doing day 76 of mass effect (arms) and I just was not feeling good - my back was aching and I felt bloated... I was hitting every exercise, even upping weight, but I just felt like absolute shit. I'll never understand that. I'm doing everything right, why must my body act up? But regardless, excited to see some tricep growth! I feel like my bis and tris are the hardest to define, so it's nice to see this little bit of progress. For as long as I can remember, I have struggled to have a healthy relationship with food. From under eating, to BED and bulimia, it has always been incredibly difficult to feel normal and healthy when it came to eating. But I am happy to say that since beginning @crushfit this has all changed - I've realized how important it is to eat in order to see progress, and the macro calculator @bbbenwilliamson created for Crush60 truly helped me figure out exactly how to do that.
