Do you think Tobias ever heard piano man come on the radio and wondered if maybe that was how Francis really felt about staying in the zone?
I think. When he was alive. That He was worried, deep down, that he’d ruined Francis’s life by asking him to stay. That he’d “clipped his wings” metaphorically speaking.
I would like to clarify here, that I do not think Francis felt like that at all. Sure, it’s rough in the zone. But, for him, Tobias made it all worth it. He was happy in the zone with him.
It took him a bit to get used to, of course, but, after awhile he got used to it. And really enjoyed the zone.
I think, under Tobias’s tough, “Nothin ever gets to me shell” a lot of things, in fact, got to him.
