#FrobackFriday to last weekend and hanging with these cuddle bugs. Oooh I miss them and their snuggles. I have to admit something: before this health debacle I used to think emotional support dogs were bullshit. I’d probably just heard a condescending joke about the idea somewhere, I didn’t have real opinions about the matter — but eyes were rolled. A couple of years ago, near the beginning of when my health got consistently debilitating, a friend of mine and fellow #spoonie explained to me how soothing her little support dog was when her body was out of control and she had to go be out in the world somehow anyways, how at least the emotional components were aided. • And it makes complete sense because if you can control your emotions about a matter than powering through it is infinitely easier! Crying is a shite multi-tasking partner. And it’s real hard to productive whilst having a nervous breakdown. And looking down at an infinitely loving and hilarious lil’ buddy can do wonders. (It’d probably have saved me some embarrassment this afternoon... #cryinginpublic) So I’m really sorry to havers of emotional support dogs for judging something I didn’t know anything about, that was a ridiculous thing to do. And snuggles to puppy dogs everywhere ❤️❤️ (at Long Beach, California)
