Saw a show by Null State this evening in downtown Olympia. A new friend of mine plays keyboards and does backup vocals. It was quite beautiful and moving. The set began with solo guitar and vocals and ended with a song that built up to an emotional and transcendent conclusion. Melodic and provocative chord sequences with hauntingly lonesome vocals. Very impressed.
