Noelle's conversation with Susie about the Dragon Blazers II Evil Route is so important to me.

Out of everyone, Noelle is the one impacted by our actions in the weird route the most. Kris is a close second, but it all centers around Noelle. If anyone would have the right to condemn us for choosing to explore that path, it would be her. But no. She chose to take the dark path in a game based on the Prophecy, just like us, and even went out of her way to make sure her parents wouldn't catch her playing it so she could keep exploring it.

If she were a real person in our world, Noelle would be deep in the UTDR trenches. She'd absolutely explore the geno route, just to see what happens. Nobody is going to argue she's secretly some horrible person, yet if the roles were reversed, she's the type of player who would try put the weird route, if out of nothing more than sheer curiosity.

You're not a bad person for playing the evil route in a game. Its just a game. I think a lot of people forget that.

Whoever decided to have Fionna and Fennel running around the city on a mind-altering odyssey and bonding for an entire episode was a genius

The way they took three times the necessary dose because they couldn't wait half a second for the magic leaves to kick in, all in perfect sync... beautiful. I love their dynamic, I hope we see more of it

Every time Tenna is on screen this little puzzle from the Deltaruined mod is the only thing I can think of. This is how he looks compared to everyone else. This is part of why I love him.

I don't think Caine grasps the significance of his humans being neural scans rather than the real, original people. If he even understands the difference, there's no way he realizes they don't know they're just mind files.

All his humans, especially when they first arrive, express a desire to leave. Hurtful, but he can understand that part. He's obsessed with the macroverse, and if they came from it, no wonder they want to go back! It looks incredible! It never occurred to him that they may not know why they can't.

Caine spent who knows how long recreating the office he saw in those pictures. He knew there was more to the macroverse, but he had no idea what it was like or how it connected. Maybe if he finished it, his players would be satisfied, but he never could.

Eventually he decided to cook up an adventure that could give them as close to what they wanted as he could manage. He used every bit of knowledge he had on the macroverse to make that adventure as realistic as possible. It wasn't until they lashed out at the end of his adventure that he realized it was never just about returning to the macroverse they came from. It was always about escaping him and the world he'd made specifically to please them.

Caine has never understood the humans. He can't read their minds. He figured out how to add temporary modifiers to them, but he could never figure out how to truly change them. The program he made to perfectly encapsulate their mind files included all of their insecurities, giving them bodies and avatar gimmicks that they could never be happy in. He tried his best to understand, but he just couldn't.

Maybe if they knew, things could have been different. If they knew they didn't have a life outside the computer they could return to, maybe it could have been easier to make peace with their fates. They aren't as different from Caine as they seem to think. If Kaufmo knew an exit was physically impossible, maybe he wouldn't have abstracted looking for one.

Oh well. Too late now.

Growing Pains must have been quite the experience for Dr. Maheswaran.

The last time she'd been in that hospital with Steven, she'd gotten her first glimpse behind the curtain of his life. She knew it could be dangerous, but she vowed to keep an open mind about everything. He meant the world to Connie, and he always made sure she came back safe and sound.

But now, she's being forced to stay as professional as she can as she realizes just how little she knew.

The kid had never been to a doctor. He'd broken over half his bones at least once. When she asked about traumatic childhood memories, she expected something like a particular monster attack or when the diamonds crashed Garnet's wedding, not the seemingly endless string of horror he called "just early stuff!"

God, he didn't even get to the incident in the hospital. Just what else had this poor kid been through?

And then she finds out something major happened between them that Connie never mentioned. After all, she only promised to stop lying to them about things. She never promised to tell them everything.

If she still hasn't been telling them everything, how much has she been through that she never brought up? If Steven can heal her without leaving a trace, how often did he need to? She doesn't have powers like he does, she's only human. For all they know, her skeleton could have just as many fractures as his. It's not like you need an x-ray at every check-up. If she came home without a scratch, would she have even mentioned if she got hurt?

And after all that, when she finally gets a chance to ask Connie what happened that Steven thought she would have mentioned, she finds out he proposed to her.
