MC5?
Haha, so that’s actually the next chapter of Macchiato. Macchiato Chapter 5--I used to work on those the most while I was at work, and then I got promoted and started working at clinics that are way more tightass about me looking busy at all times, so I started naming the files with acronyms in case anyone just glanced over my shoulder.
In this chapter, they go to Pike Place Market and it’s adorable as fuck. And then it’s not. Also, I hold a certain amount of disdain for the fish vendors.
--
The inside of the market is no less chaotic than outside. Crowds push in either direction, marching ceaselessly and awkwardly to their destinations. Their way is immediately blocked by a particular group of nearly two dozen people, grouped around what McCree can only identify as a little seafood stand. He doesn’t understand the audience until he watches one of the men behind the counter toss a two-foot salmon across a small gap into another’s waiting newspaper-draped hands, and the crowd erupts with cheers and whoops. Mei gasps aloud, and Mercy murmurs an impressed, “Oh, my!”
“Huh,” McCree says mildly.
Beside him, Hanzo snorts derisively. “Do they all truly believe that to be an impressive feat?” he mutters, out of earshot of the others.
McCree shrugs helplessly. “I guess. Not everyone can be an international bounty hunter.”
“I have thrown a man farther than they threw that fish.”
McCree barks a laugh, and though he keeps his gaze resolutely ahead, Hanzo is visibly restraining a smile. “Well,” McCree says, “I wouldn’t have minded getting to see that.” Hanzo seems confused by that, so he adds, “Just sayin’, I don’t have a hard time believing you could do it, built the way you are.” He flicks his gaze down Hanzo’s body to get the point across.
Hanzo looks surprised at first, then exasperated, rolling his eyes as he says, “Keep it up, cowboy, and you might receive a firsthand experience.”
“Don’t make promises you don’t plan to keep.”
Confession: I love your writing and the stories you come up with. They're always so unique and fun and I'm always excited to see what you come up with next. Your characterization is also on point, even in your more removed AUs I can still see the original version of the character shine through and I love how you have the ability to make those changes but keep the core of the character.
You are also one of the other mchanzo/fandom writers out there that I wish I talked more with bc youre so nice and cool but im sort of a coward and dont know how to talk to strangers who I think are cool
;o; Thank you so much! Dang, I spend a lot of time sweating my characterization, especially for tight POV fics and AUs (gotta walk that line between having a good time writing whatever-the-heck and also making them as recognizable as possible), so that means a whole lot. I also just. lol. super enjoy how many people are worried about talking to strangers, because I kind of am too and I like this idea that fandom’s just a big mass of people afraid to talk to each other and somehow managing anyway? Anyway, yes, talk to me more! If/when you can! Because you’re great!
Confession: I absolutely adore your writing! They way you portray everyone's emotions so well and so detailed are just straight up writing goals. And all the kisses you write are so good i straight up die. Your art is also lovely and has such a cute style, it's always a joy to see more of!
lasdfhsdk thank you..... I can’t imagine my writing really being a goal but I’m so glad. I love thinking through character emotions and character acting and such, so I’m happy it ends up showing
and I love your fics, too! they’re always creative in their premises and such a delight to read
Emilena + "Is it really you?"
well this got longer than i thought but hey when as that stopped me!!!
----
“After you.”
Emily swallowed hard as she was lead into yet another strange room, one that was separated down the middle by a glass wall. Beyond the glass wall was a large pod-like chamber with a short hallway that connected it to the central room, and around her were several monitors.
Some had a list of rapid numbers, charts, and line-graphs that were scrolling too fast for her to read anyways. The others, however, showed a live video feed from different angles, one that nearly broke Emily’s heart in two: a bland room with a simple and clean, almost sterile design, and dear Lena curled up on the bed into a ball like a scared child in a thunderstorm. Every couple of minutes, the edges of Lena’s body would shaky, shimmer, and flicker, and each time it happened, she would curl tighter and tighter into herself.
Emily placed a shaking hand on one of the monitors while the other came up to her mouth in shock.
I think my favorite fic of yours is Not as Fine as He Thought, its just really good hurt/comfort piece and they're just so caring and supportive for each other
hECK YE
tht piece was honestly hard to write at certain points not only bc of the sorta risque bits in the beginning, but bc it was a lot of unpacking of emotions???
jordan and i put so much into tht project and im honestly so happy with how it came out!!

you say bringing in Gabe acting like a wrathful father like its a bad thing but i dont see the downside to that
Overprotective Goth Dad burns down mad scientist lab, takes cowson out for ice cream before delivering him to high strung, worried boyfriend.
