Yeah, that’s totally true. I remember there being stuff about some Haikyuu relationships being problematic. As in - not even shipping but the canon friendships, lol

Though, well, I can see from where people might be coming at Banana Fish. Like, there’s child porn and rape involved. Though, in my opinion, it’s handled pretty well. And it’s not counted as fanservive or whatever.

Oh well, that’s internet for ya. There are much more fucked up and disturbing stuff and people still praise it, lol.

Also - third episode of Banana Fish left me legit hysterical. For a lot of different. Seriously, a lot, not only because of That Scene.

I’m digging how the whole thing is kinda dark, heavy and edgy with some of it’t themes (and gay). But it’s also pretty fun with great action and plot (and gay). I already saw some people pegging it as problematic but, well, fuck this shit. I’m gonna enjoy it to the fullest. Sue me or whatever.

oh dang this was a while back. I've also been absent from tumblr for a while. I'm trying to get back into it but who knows how that'll go. its good to know how you're doing though, so thanks for @ 'ing me! sadly I don't have snapchat so hopefully we'll both be able to hang around a bit more here together

Some things already changed - like my working situation. Or that my shoulder stopped hurting. And that, overall, my mental state got better too. So, well, things are on the right track at the moment.

tbh I’ve been thinking about coming back here after I catch up with the new anime season (HOLY FUCKEN SHIT BANANA FISH OWNS MY ASS SO HARD) but, well, I’m still kinda ‘meh’ about it, so, whatever, I guess. Maybe one day.

And we can still chat here (though I may be kinda slow with replies) or... idk other social media apps I use are messenger and whatsapp. And I have twitter but don’t use it.

I'm too wimpy to fight anyways. I am curious about that 1% though. is it klance or another ship that brings it out? you also have a good point, yukio needs a break. my favorite go to in this case is switching *thumbsup*

Well, maybe I should have worded it differently - like - I ain’t gonna go after anyone who ships something I don’t like or ships something differently - I’m just gonna sit, be bitter and salty then maybe vaguely rant on my blog or maybe have heated discussion with @kathwolfie that world and fandoms hate us.

I’ll say it like this - the more invested in the ship I am, the more nitpicky I am about the ship. (Which, in my opinion, is a logical thing.) Anyway, well, shit, yeah, it is about Klance. But also TsukiYama (and about Tsukishima in general, especially in that one ship that is one of few of my notps), I’m not into Kuroko no Basket anymore but I had the same problem with MidoTaka. KuroDai also. And some more ships but these are the ones that immediately came to my mind. And the problem isn’t exactly who tops and who bottoms but it’s... deeper. It’s about the characterisation. Bottoms tend to be drawn or written, well, headcanoned in general, extra feminine, weak, overly sexualised or made so innocent that it infantilises them, crybabies. Even if in reality the characters aren’t (I don’t have anything against feminine, and so on, characters - I hate when fandom makes them like this and it becomes so fandom-wide that it overpowers canon; Voltron fandom is guilty of that on many fronts). I’m not going to blame it on the classic yaoi seme/uke dynamic because I’ve seen it done even by people who are very extremely anti towards fujoshi, yaoi, seme/uke and so on.

Also - in some cases switching is totally good. Mostly, I do have preferences for my ships but there are some that I don’t care when/if they switch (unless above situation happens). To give few examples - Bokuto with Kuroo, Hoozuki with Hakutaku, Aomine with Kagami, Gintoki with Hijikata.

hah, sorry. but our thoughts are mostly the same for those pairings. the crown scene? I died honestly I want to cry just thinking about it. and kurofai will always be my first otp. I do demand a back-alley fight over yukio/shima though

The crown scene was amazing on so many levels. And the more so after knowing Jean’s heritage. bfshdbhskb hgvs fgsd vd vfdhj vd

KuroFai is also is one of my first otps. The one that I sometimes forget but when I come across it the feelings are lit ablaze again.

Also - I ain’t gonna fight since I’m (99% of times) ship and let others ship whatever you and them want. Though, well, yeah, I do have very strong top/bottom preferences when it comes to almost all of my ships. Idk how to put it into words exactly in this particular case but maybe something like this - Yukio definitely needs to chill and unwind and, in my opinion, Shima could nicely break him apart and then put back together. And like... he doesn’t want it or maybe doesn’t realise it but he needs someone to take care of him. Something like this. Works nicely for me. Though I don’t have the slightest idea which way is more popular in the fandom since I don’t really follow it (apart from buying every single London’s doujinshi I come across).
