I... Never really thought of it like that, but yeah, that WOULD be really exhausting. All of Steven’s powers rely on his emotions, so going into battle would be not only physically draining, but emotionally draining too.

Whoever wrote this comic must have been playing Super Mario Sunshine and just wanted to see Steven using Fludd. Except they named it Phucked. So I guess they wanted to see Steven get Phucked up.

My two favorite scenes in the new graphic novel Crystal Clean were both Peridot moments. Who’d have guessed?

You can get Crystal Clean wherever you buy books. Written by Talya Perper and illustrated by S. M. Mara. It’s about the Gems fighting a mysterious muck monster--that has an insidious connection to other green goop you’ve seen in Beach City before, as well as a surprisingly touching back story!

Goo Steeb is giving me the heeby jeebs, but I'm prepared and willing to love every Steven.

A hissing green Steven seems oddly prophetic.

Pearl's Beach dress is something my grandma would totally wear.

How to tell this isn't canon: nobody in their right mind would genuinely think that Steven would do this. Yellow Tail would maybe make sense since he doesn't seem to be around much, except for the fact that Steven is someone Onion likes and talks about with his parents as shown in Onion Friend, in which case Yellow Should know that anyone who can earn Onion's respect is clearly an impressive individual.

You have an entire family of people working for you, one of which regularly has plenty of free time to hang out with friends, you can spare someone to help clean the beach. Preferably you, since it's so important to you apparently.

Sigh, but of course Steven would offer to do it instead, because everybody just spent ten minutes guilting him into it.

Oh come on, can't any of you offer to help?? Even if you're busy you can send out word to the town for volunteers instead of leaving it with the group who ALREADY have the full time job of PROTECTING THE ENTIRE PLANET!

This outfit is ridiculously cute on Steven. An apron AND two bandanas? *chef's kiss* perfect. A neck bandana also really suits amethyst imo.

I don't have anything to say about these panels, I'm just appreciating the outfit.

If their weakness is water wouldn't it be better to go now while it's raining?

FINALLY I was beginning to wonder if water guns even existed in this comic's universe.

Honestly with the way the townsfolk were acting earlier I'm not sure it is. I'm hoping for an apology for suspecting you at the very least.

It should only take a few minutes to go buy a water gun...

You bet your ass you should say thanks and apologize. I'm willing to bet Nanefua took a slipper to him until he learned his lesson.

Lmao. The gems aren't even swimming, and they don't need to sunbathe, which leads me to believe that for them a pleasant beach day just involves watching Steven have fun in the water.

And for my final comic commentary we have a 4th wall break from Amethyst to finish it off.

I'm gonna do the games next, and will probably comment on them as well lol.

This was really fun. The comics are honestly great, and there's a lot I left out, so if anyone is thinking of reading them you should definitely do it!
