Iain and Crystal Gutenberg, Day 86, Part 5
Iain: You wanna get a room?
Iain: I love your tatt... d'you think I should get one?
Daisy: If you want to. Now get over here and stop talking.
Iain and Crystal Gutenberg, Day 86, Part 4
Iain: Gotcha!
Daisy: You're such a child!
Iain: I was when you first knew me... does that make me your toy boy?
Good job (for Iain and Daisy) that Cliff didn't stick around long enough to see them emerge from the water.
Daisy: Not bad... for a toy boy.
Iain and Crystal Gutenberg, Day 86, Part 3
Daisy: So, tell me again how much you like my music... it's good for my ego.
Iain: I've always thought it's the bassist that holds the band together, right? The drummer thinks they're in control, but they're too busy keeping in time to worry about the flow of the music.
Daisy: I think you talk a load of crap. But it's flattering crap, so I'll let it pass.
Iain: You know, the consensus always was that Helen was the hot twin, but I disagree...
Daisy: You sort of have to say that right now, though, don't you?
Iain: So, I hear your husband has a boyfriend... how does that work?
Daisy: He's not exactly his boyfriend, just a... special... friend. How does us going on a date work?
Iain: Hey, if it feels good. It works.
Iain: Do you want to stop?
Daisy: ... No.
Iain: Because we can if you want.
Daisy: I... I don't want to stop.
Iain: Wanna go to the motel?
Daisy: ... Yeah.
Iain had a want to be best friends with Daisy, and when I sent him out to a community lot, he rolled a want for a date, and no wants for Crystal, so I let him call Daisy.
Iain & Crystal Gutenberg, Day 81, Part 5
When they got home, it was almost time for Crystal to go to work. Iain figured if Phil had been working last night he probably wasn’t working now, so invited him over, and they finally made friends!
Iain & Crystal Gutenberg, Day 80, Part 1
Today was the end of an era for Crystal and Ali. Having lived together since they were college Freshmen, today Ali and her family moved out. This place was just getting too small for both families. Ali and Phil haven’t moved too far away - just a couple of streets away, next door to Phil’s brother Hi.
Iain and Crystal Gutenberg, Day 86, Part 6
Lexi: Ouch! Your hands are freezing! Come inside!
Sofie: Smells great, Lex!
Best friends!
Looks like Teo and Martha would rather stand opposite the others rather than sit on the smaller sofa.
Weird hanging out positions!
Sofie: Thanks for a great afternoon, Lexi! See you in school!
Meanwhile, Lexi invited some friends over for the day. Iain napped when he got home from his "errands", Cairo spent most of the day playing the piano, and Crystal studied in her underwear and then went to work.
Iain and Crystal Gutenberg, Day 86, Part 2
Crystal: What are your plans for today?
Iain: I might head out in a bit - I've got errands to run.
Crystal: You want some company? If we wait til Lexi gets here we could ask her to watch Cai and then we could make a date of it.
Iain: No, it's alright. You haven't seen Lexi for a couple of days, and I think sometimes we take advantage of her for babysitting duties because she never seems to mind.
Crystal: Okay... you don't want to go out yet, though, right?
(I thought they might get another set of woohoo wants before their date timer wound down, but it was not to be!)
Lexi's home! (She stayed at her dad's last night). The first thing she did was make a beeline for the violin to make music with her little brother.
Iain and Crystal Gutenberg, Day 86, Part 1
Iain: Of course I remember your band! You used to practise in my basement when I was a kid, remember? And you're not exactly broken up, are you?
Daisy: I guess not. We're not exactly making music right now, either.
Iain: Well you should! I like your music. I know I used to say I hated it, but that's because I was nine and anything my sister did was absolutely Not Cool.
Daisy: So what you're trying to say is you're an original Printer Sisters fan boy?
Iain: If that's what you want to call it, then yeah, I guess.
I guess Cairo's music must be helping Crystal concentrate.
Iain: Sounds good, son. I'm off to work now - see you in the morning.
Cairo: Bye, Dad!
Cairo: When I learnt to walk, did I learn it quicker than Lexi did?
Crystal: Well, you certainly had more space to walk around than Lexi did, in the apartment where she and I lived with Auntie Ali before you were born.
Leave him alone, Martha - he's trying to eat his soup!
Crystal: Right, one more game of red hands and then it's bedtime, mister.
Cairo: Aww, can't I wait up for Dad?
Crystal: No way - he gets home far too late!
Iain: You didn't have to wait up for me, babe... since you're up, wanna bang?
Crystal: You been working up an appetite on all the hot chicks at work?
Iain: None was hot as you, babe.
Crystal: That wasn't an answer!
Woohoo!
