the thirteenth love fortune

Almost everyone in the island flocked to the Underground upon hearing this weekend’s amazing lineup of music! Not only that, but there were these new drinks for anyone who’s anyone to try! And tonight, Muffy had the honour of serving them up. ♡
“Hello, would you like to try our newest drink? Oh, hi, there~♪ !”
Her coy smile would invite attention to not just the drinks on the silver tray, but to herself as well. Some would take the drink and continue on their merry way. Others were too absorbed with their dance moves which were extremely admirable! And then, there were those that got a drink and tried to woo the blonde barmaid... Yet none of their words was enough to top last week’s flattering compliment!
Thinking about how that certain young man hooked her made her heart skip a beat. There’s something about you were his wonderful words. Gosh, how romantic! ♡ The way he looked at her with such confidence and actual cupids hummed against her ears...
Muffy sighed. In the end... it was too good to be true. Like seriously, why did he have to lie about being single—oh, whoops! “Sorry!” Muffy had bumped into someone but her light-hearted smile and almost empty-tray of free sampled drinks saved her from the awkwardness.
Anyways, now that she’s single (again) Muffy kept heart out in the open! Maybe this time, she’d meet her special somebody! She just needed a little luck and fortune on her side... ♡ And with that hopeful thought, a light bulb lit above her fair head.
After making her rounds by the dancefloor, a reinvigorated Muffy made her way back to the bar. She placed the serving tray down and instead of picking up the little samples left of the new drink, Muffy turned to her miracle maker behind the bar. “Hey, Alicia~! ♪” Her eyelashes fluttered.
“Taking a ten-minute break here, hmm? Mind if I joined you~? Oh, I really do miss our little chats, don’t you? ♡” Muffy leaned her back against the bar, twirling a strand of her hair. As much as she genuinely enjoyed talking to the lovely witch, her wistful gaze was a dead giveaway that she wasn’t just in it for the “small talk.”
