Wanda wasn’t paying too close attention. She had earbuds in, slightly sweaty from a run, sauntering into the kitchen to find a stupid glass (where ever Pietro had put them now) and get some water.

So it startled her, perhaps irrationally so, to see Crystal of all people in the kitchen. “What are you doing here?” It came out before she could stop it. “Sorry. Crystal. Hello. Can I -- help you? No, actually I meant that. What are you doing here?” The princess hardly left Attilan, was there some sort of cause for concern? Other than the fact that she was in Pietro’s general vicinity which was concerning enough.

“Au revoir, amour. Je te verrai ce soir,” Aurora called as she opened the door and stepped out, she took a deep breath prepared to speed back to work but took literally two blink-of-an-eye quick steps before she had to grab the railing of the stairs because she almost smacked directly into a sharply dressed woman. “Merde!” Came out in an unintelligible rush. She wobbled a moment before catching her balance. “Je suis désolé,” Aurora said quickly. 

“I’m so sorry, I almost ran you down.” She puts a hand on the woman’s shoulder, her eyebrows pinched together in worry a moment. “You’re alright?” She exhaled and stood up straight, adjusting her own jacket, now sort of awkwardly standing on the stairs. “Wanda’s not home and Pietro has work if you’re… looking for either of them.”

👀 what do you think of crystal?

I think she’s an important fixture in the lives of Pietro and Luna who are two people I am happy I get to spend my time with. But I think she comes off judgmental and stuck up. Strong beautiful space princess vibes.

After everything Aurora still had finals to grade. Despite the world going to shit, politics in the city following suit -- she still had stupid finals to grade. If she got this done then maybe, maybe she could get away to that vacation she’d been planning for ages.

Except that she was looking at accommodations for that instead of grading dumb papers. She wasn’t sure what even made her look up but when she did, she saw someone looking for a chair and an empty one in front of her. What was she supposed to do?

“You can... sit here if you’d like,” She said with a smile as she pulled her papers into a neat pile to make room. “Always gets sort of crowded around this time of day. It’s good to -- see you again.”

She wasn’t entirely sure that was true, but it was polite to say anyway and Crystal seemed to be a woman full of politeness.
