Prim was panting heavily beneath the desert sun. Ten minutes ago she’d finished the last of the water in her canteen. Despite the poor situation she was in it wasn’t worse than what the rabbit had left. Her original master’s passing was a violent one and the man who forcibly took her in had been less than kind. So much to the point that Prim fled the first chance she got, taking only her uniform, her diary and a canteen with her. Anything was better than that place.
No one would follow her here. At least no one who valued their lives far too much. This southern portion of the desert was crawling with scorpions and their queen. A queen who was not to be trifled with. The reports were that this place was a scorpion sanctuary and that trespassing was to break the law, but it was a cover to keep people from falling victim to the arachnids who owned these dunes. That alone made the risk worth it as desperation drove the risk of death to be a safer option than remaining a maid to that man.
It wasn’t until she absolutely had no choice but to stop that Prim collapsed to her knees. While resting a small scorpion made an approach. Though dangerous Prim did her best to try and talk it into leaving.
“G-Go on little guy. I won’t hurt you.” She ushered. “Go about your day without hurting me. Please..?”
As it crept closer and readied its stinger the rabbit scrambled to her feet and forced herself to flee.once more. After another ten miles she made it to an oasis where Prim was thankful that it wasn’t a mirage. While refilling her canteen and resting in the shade her instincts were suddenly on high alert. Something was making her senses scream danger.
“I-I’m not alone here am I..?” She whimpered to herself.

“What... Are you..?” Irith asked in confusion.
The girl before her looked like a cross between a human, rocks and some kind of bug. At least she wasn’t a toad. Or a frog... The longer she stared the more of a confused expression the Behemoth held on her face. Her arms crossed just beneath her breasts and she tilted her head ever so slightly to the left.
Perhaps starting the hunt for a new territory to call home so early in the morning was a mistake.
