His distraction provided the perfect cover for the cloaked sniper to get to her destination. In the three minutes allotted, she had the shields down. Phase two was now in motion, she starting to get onto the catwalks. Her cloak would fail in this place. Which is exactly why– Ahh. Yes. There he was. Careening down the path… Those poor mercenaries would have no idea what was about to collide with them.
The first few people the wolf went crashing into had the unfortunately luck of being hit with the force of a small vehicle moving at top speed. What came after in their dazed state was the powerful mass of fur bringing his claws and fangs down upon them. Even worse was the fact that their poor corpses got used as rag dolls to be flung at some of the ones who were firing upon him.
As much as Warwick wanted to, he kept his gaze away from the catwalk. He didn’t want to linger or have his actions interpreted as a sort of concern as that might draw his enemies up to where the wolf’s partner was supposed to be. He tore into anything and everything he could from crates, to vehicles and people. Despite his efforts the wolf ended up being pinned down by suppressing fire that forced him behind a large steel box.
Everything is going according to plan. These poor people, being stuck with their worst nightmare. They think I’m stuck in here with them. I suppose I shouldn’t belittle the optimistic thought too much, everyone needs hope. Even if it’s false.
—≪🍂≫ “Just a bit longer...”
She took out a few guards up on the catwalks... Unfortunate for them, the people down below were too concerned with the ‘terror’ that was lurking with them. Once she was at the station, she started to work swiftly. She knew while doing this, her cloaking device would be receiving severe interference.
Bypassing the security, she was able to get in and cause the breach. Temporarily. A higher access had belayed it, causing the ghost to utter a curse under her breath. She would have to resort to other measures. Luckily, she had already planned for something like this, hence why they infiltrated this floor. The device was on it.
She walked over to the vent in the room, using the butt of her rifle to knock out the cover, before crawling up inside. She quickly made her way down the shaft, until she dropped in to where the power matrix was.
Surprisingly... There were no guards or workers in here. Perhaps there had been orders to evacuate the premises. Regardless, she armed the charge, tossing the sticky bomb right at the target. Turning to leave out the vent she had entered, it wasn’t long before things went to red alert. A voice came over the com system, telling everyone to leave the building.
Nova had the same plans in mind... Until she came out from the vent, someone having been waiting for her. She felt a sharp pain pierce her leg. She fell to one knee, raising her weapon to hit him in the chest, pulling a knife from her side sheath to finish the job. She hobbled to the door, but it was too late. The detonation charge went off, shaking the whole complex. The place started to crumble...
And everything went black.
