Fun fact! Crystallized was originally going to be a comic, and this image below was a draft of the first page

Of course, I decided to scrap the idea and write it on ao3 because 1. I don't write enough and 2. I thought my work might get a bit more recognition and it would be less tiring. Oh boy was i sorely mistaken.

I haven't been here in a hot minute 😅 I've just lost a lot of interest for Tumblr things, and social media in general really just grinds on me, so I'm really sorry I don't post much here anymore. I'm really honored that people still take interest in my AU though!!

To answer your question, it's not that he figures it out, it's something he just knows - Wisteria (the wizard who curses him) gave that instinct to him as part of the curse. It was her way of showing "mercy" to him, basically giving him a chance to figure out how tho solve this problem himself :)

So, when the first day dawned, he found himself back at his pedestal before he knew what he was doing. He knows what happens now if he doesn't get back on time, but for the first few days he was operating on something like an instinct!!

I love your crystallized AU but what if things like kinda swapped and it was a swapped AU where Vampire was the crystallized one / in Sparkling's place instead of Sparkling who was now in Vampire's place? How would the storyline change? (btw I still love the original, keep up the good work! <3)

Funny you mention this because I have thought about it exactly once (1)

The story would change considerably I think but the same old thing of a witch/wizard cursing one of them (Vampire in this case) would obviously stay the same - just for a different reason

Crystal Sparkling's sin was his pride (in the from of narcissism), so maybe Crystal Vampire's could be his sloth? :)

How would Crystal to Vampire getting visablly upset while it’s daytime. Like someone mocked Vampire or something happened that just threw off his good mood and Sparkling can’t do anything but watch? Would he feel apathetic, pity or genuine worry?

Crystal Sparkling already feels helpless as he is, if he saw Vampire having a bad day because of someone else, he'd definitely be piiissed

Maybe not worry, because Crystal Sparkling isn't the type to worry - he would get a very specific kind of mad, I think, because during the day (when I assume all this is happening), he can't move and therefore can't do anything until the night arrives and the problem visitor has already left the museum
