Hi! I have an audition tonight for "I love you, you're perfect, now change." At first I thought I was just going to do "fifty percent" from ballroom, but now I'm not too sure. We're allowed to do a song from the show, so I was considering doing "always a bridesmaid," but I'm nervous doing a song from the show. I'm a quick learner, and a low alto with a strong belt up to C-ish. Do you have any suggestions?

i think "fifty percent" from ballroom is really good. 

I’ve said how i don’t think singing from the show is appropriate, but if they tell you its okay! It’s a good chance to show them how good you are for the role

To the person who wanted help with an audition for once upon a mattress: Over the summer I was casted as Winnifred, and the song I sang was Lost In The Brass from Band Geeks the Musical! I did the last 32 or so measures, and it really shows off a great belt, and the character is very "Fred" like.

I'm auditioning for "Wonderful Town" which focuses on a pair of sisters leaving Ohio to try and pursue their careers as a writer and a actress. It takes place in New York City in 1935. The writer is a comedic low alto with a humorous cynic outlook on love. Any comedic monologues that you can think of, or any very low musical theater songs, especially ones that show off a strong belt around C/B. Your help is much appreciated!

Ah, monologues are not my specialty, so I don’t want to give you any bad advice there.

Now, low belting songs? Oh man, there’s a good amount you can choose from! “Always True To You (Darling in My Fashion)” from Kiss Me Kate, “Dance: Ten, Looks: Three” from A Chorus Line, and a ton of others. Although I feel the first option is your best bet here!

I got a clarinet for Christmas, too! It's honestly the most confusing thing ever but I already love it to death.

seriously though like do there have to be so many keys? but I'm sure with the help of some of the amazing clarinet players I have become friends with, and I'm sure google and youtube, I may become impressively mediocre (:

Could you ask you're mother/ sister where they got the musicy printed Tumbler from? I reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaallllllllllllyyyyyyyy need one.

I just asked, apparently they thrifted them!!!! I can hardly read the name brand though, it looks like ‘Stafford’ or something like that so you can try to google it. Sorry!
