CALLING THE THEATRE KIDS

heyyy, so I need some good soprano placement songs for a musical theatre intensive I’m attending this summer.

I’m not sure whether they want a classic or just anything, so open to a lot of different songs. I need a 16+ measure cut, I would prefer a 32-64 measure cut. I will also use a full song, I want to show off my range as an Upper Soprano but I also want to show off my musicality and acting skills.

hi there tumblr!!!

i’m going to audition for a local production of hadestown in july, and i need a song to audition with that is either a.) from the musical (no backing vocals) or b.) in the same genre/style as the musical.

now, i’m gonna level with yall: i have no idea what to pick. whatsoever. so i was hoping i could get a little help? i’m a mezzo soprano, wider range i think? roles ive played in the past are sally brown + girl scout

for a better example of my vocal range, here’s me singing wedding song from hadestown as eurydice:

i’m not gunning for any specific role, i’m just happy to be in the show, i’d probably just want to pick a song that showcases my vocal range well.
